Antoher vido driver problem, game crashes.

Recommended Posts

When i start the game it crashes in splash scren and i get this: Crash in application version: grpcdemorc1.04 Direct3D - known capability violation exception. SCRIPT STACK data\lib\managers\viewportmanager.dsf(0) data\lib\setups\setup.dsf(0) data\levels\mission02\mission02.dsf(0)

Now im kinda a n00b, but my first guess was that it was something wrong with the drivers...they probably needed an update. But i tried to find a driver that is compatible with my current video card, but cant seem to find any.

well download 84.21 driver the newest one and all so the 5700 is not supported by the game

Buhuuu  |....we sure about that? And i dont get the "FAIL: Sorry, your video card does not meet this recommended requirement. Upgrading to a more powerful video card will make all your applications look better. Click the 'We Recommend' button to see some great options." as others here do....

Bro, NVidia 6000 and 7000 line GPU's. Those are the stated requirements. Not the 5000 line.

As far as that system checker site -- that's not UBI or Redstorm or GRIN. That's a marketing business looking to get referral fees for helping sites to sell hardware.

Are you sure about users with 5700's playing the game?

Only reason I ask, I have a 5950U which as stated by many on these forums doesn't work!

However, a m8 has installed the demo on his son's pc, which runs a 5700. He also installed the 84.37 nvidia drivers from Guru.com and the demo runs without the black sillouhette that all 5950U users experience.

I've dl'd these drivers and installed them but it makes no difference.

My m8 has no reason to lie to me so I believe his story, so what makes a 5700 work but not a 5950U???????
