Spoudazo
I know on the old GR, you hit the tilde button or was it the numpad 'Enter' button, I forget, but anyway, you do that and you would enter "superman" I think and that would be invincibility. So any cheats so far for this game/demo? I'd like to explore the city, but they keep shooting me
Spoudazo
I didn't say I want to play the whole game w/ cheats (though I did that with Far Cry, and Quake 4, and a few others ) but I just want to see the environment and see the physics, even though I don't have a PPU yet
thrush213
you could already see a lot of physics...just go to the first place you meet the apc car...kill everyone(it's not that hard) then throw a few grenades into the car doors and see it explode into pieces. i love how the trees get shattered and crash down onto cars

Hochi
Anyone figure out the console or cheats ? and no don't start flaming it's only for single player not MULTI player
3rdMillhouse
Cheating would be great, but only if you've finished the game for the 20th time and you feel like flying trough the city.

Lethal.Ambition
I say that single player cheats be released. Anyone ever played another game and when you went to [GR] and typed god in the console find yourself with that little surprise? It was hilarious. Anyways, cheats allow you to see a lot of things. If you're allowed to not die by the AI you can see how they react to different things while you're careless of not dying, or your team. Many other things too, know the city, etc.
NYR_32
He's asking about SP cheats. And he's not the only person who likes to know them. I use them ALOT in GR1. Without knowing the dev cheats how does one debug a new mission without being shot? How does one test a complex bit of scripting without dying? SP cheats. Ask any scripter what they think of SP cheats, they'll tell you they are pretty important. So lose the high and mighty "SP cheats are for nOObs", or "learn to play right" stuff. They serve a purpose well beyond goofing off and blowing some things up on a map.

chilly-willy
I guess I'm all for cheats assuming it doesn't make it easier for people to cheat in online play. If it helps the online cheater create a cheat any easier it should not be in the game IMHO.
babydave
i think they should be released, virtually every game has cheats and as NYR says they are invaluable for scripters/modders. also MP cheats will come out for GRAW,thats a certainty, no way around it. whether or not there are SP cheats will have no bearing on that and once the first has been made then the flood gates will open anyway. i know what ur saying lighty but i think the pros outweigh the cons, namely people being able to have whatever fun they want with the game, after all thats their right, personally i wouldnt use them but i can see the attraction in using them. and besides as grin have their own anti cheat who knows whether or not that will cut out the dev cheats being exploited Edited May 3, 2006 by babydave

Pave Low
Right, the four SP console codes/"Cheats" threads have been merged and cleaned up No More Flaming if you don't have anything constructive to contribute, then don't post
firefly2442
Sorry if this has already been asked, I did a search and couldn't find anything on the topic. Does GRAW have a console or does anyone know of any console commands? I tried hitting the "~" key and that didn't bring anything up. Other than me hitting random keys, anyone have any info? Thanks. ActionJackson
Like many games, the console is hidden. To activate it you need to turn it on some where in some file. I am sure as time goes by, there will be a topic on it.
Waika
Some games use the text chat input for command input; perhaps GRAW does this as well... If there is someone with enough patience ti give it whirl -- entering the obvious stings with various input characters, <ctrl>, <alt> and <shift> combinations might get some output or even an entire help listing. If this is how it's done in GRAW I imagine "/something", "! something" or some such input will get you some kind of output. Another possibility is if someone can find info on how this was done in GRIN's other games like Bandits: Phoenix Rising which has been out for a while and may be better documented and played around with since it's on an older version of the same engine and some things may be done similarly... Kurtz
Could they have at least put a "showframerate" in there.
HighlanderUK
u will find a trainer gor graw here http://www.ggmania.com/cheat.php3?cheat=12539 Hmm, tried this last night, and everytime it crashed my game to desktop. Has anyone got this to work??? But with todays minor patch, it will be obsolete anyway. Sniper rifle is fun, but woefully small amount of ammo, even with ammo pack, a nice trainer to boost ur ammo would have been handy.
CkZWarlord
This made me think about [GR]'s "chicken nades"... Remember those? You'd fire your GL and a chicken would run somewhere and explode, it was hilarious... Ok so it's not really a cheat, more of an easteregg but I loved it anyway lol Is there something like that in GR:AW??? Gryphen
I tried to run the trainer last night after reading about it here, it doesn't even run fully, it comes up as not responding, anybody know of an alternate trainer fro GRAW?

CBA_Bludawg
well there are some hidden files you can mess with that will open up many doors. from super zoom, no recoil to spread.theres even a god mode. bad thing is these work in MP also.
