Recommended Posts

Guys,

I need help/advise, i just bought a new vid card to play the GRAW. The new vid card is a GeForce NX6600GT 128MB DDR3 AGP8.

When i play the game, just after a few minutes the screen will turn blank and the PC seems to be in a star-over state. This not happen if i just in the desktop screen of my pc or watching DVD. Its only happen when i start to play the game. Is it could be video card driver? FYI, i aready downloaded a forceware from www.guru3d.com for my new vid card (ForceWare 84.43 (x32)). But still the problem persist. I even call my pc manufacturer asking if my power supply is 350 watt as stated in the vid card manual and they inform to me that the power supply is 350 watt. Im afraid to update my motherboard bios since last time i update, the thing crash and i had to replace a new motherboard, lucklily it still under warranty. So please guys please advise what do i need to do. Below is my pc specs fyi :

AMD Athlon 64 bit 3200+

Kingston PC-3200 DDR400 1.5GB ( 3 slots)

Motherboard K8T MS-6702 (v1.X) ATX Mainboard

Western Digital 80GB SATA drive

Windows XP home edition

Power supply 350 watts

Hope you guys can help me with this, im really have no idea right now what to do .

You can try a different driver & test to exclude any driver-related problems you may have.

But what happens exactly? does your PC power off & restart ?

You can check out the system-event log in Windows & see what it says there.

It may also be your power supply is too low.

350w is not alot and thats a fair sized rig you've got.

Personally i would have 450-550w for a system like that.

How many drives do you also have running?

CD/DVD/HD?

How many cooling fans in your system?

To give you a comparison (my system requires no less than 450w)

P4 2.8ghz

1Gb Ram

Radeon 9700pro

2x160Gb HD

1xDVD/RW

2X90mm case fans

5 internal fans, CPU,Chipset,GPU,PSU,DPS

The PC didnt power off or restart, this problem happen only recent when i got the MSI-GeForce NX6600 GT, before that no problem at all.

I install back splinter cell chaos theory just to check what is actual problem, when the game start (im at the beach), just i want to move sam fisher then my pc went pitch black again same like GRAW but last time when i played splinter chaos theory using my old vid card MSI GeForce Ti 4200 none problem above occur.

So basically, the drivers for the card is solve as that is not the cause of the problem. Do you guys think this is more on the power supply of my pc?

Really need help guys, i want to play the game :wall::wacko::please:
