Cavalier
How do I unlock them without playing through the entire game again? For both GR and DS? I plan on playing through again anyway, but this time with various mods and whatnot (I just don't want you guys to think I am a strait up cheater or anything). ***EDIT*** If it involves altering files in any way, please be specific. VERY specific. Edited March 25, 2003 by Cavalier
Giampi
In your GR directory you will find several xml files and particularly unlockedheroes.xml for GR D_unlockedheroes.xml for DS C_unlockedheroes.xml for IT You have to open those files and add ad example the following raws for GR: <UnlockedHeroes> <Hero>lindy_cohen.atr</Hero> <Hero>buzz_gordon.atr</Hero> <Hero>will_jacobs.atr</Hero> </UnlockedHeroes> In this way you will add those 3 specialists In case of DS the name of the actors have to be like "d_lindy_cohen.atr" and in case of IT "c_buzz_gordon" To know all the names of the hero actors you have to look into mods/pack/actors/hero were pack = origmiss for GR = Mp1 for DS = Mp2 for IT Hope you can understand
Cavalier
I went and found the actors, and the d_unlockedheroes, and added them, but they didn't show up.
Kurtz
You can download these files for unlocking missions and heros here, File Retreat or Platoon.

Cavalier
I downloaded the NCM mods, and did as the read me said to ( I copied the files to my ghost recon directory), but there are still no unlocked specialists. I started a new campaign, and nothing. Resumed an old campaign, and still nothing. WHat is wrong here?
Urban_Tiger
If you have used it before and ya happy to do it you could make a small adjustment using Igor to change the characters so they don't require unlocking that way. It's probably not the easiest way to do it and I'm not trying to confuse the issue lol, but if the methods you have tried so far don't work or any future attempts don't then you could turn to that ! Cavalier
Tell me how, and I'll try it. I'm getting fed up! I can't seems to unlock them no matter what I do!
Cavalier
Somebody Help me please. I have the NMM mod with D-Boys and Rangers, is that maybe affecting why I can't unlock the specialists? I really want to play with those characters. Everytime that stupid title screen shows up, and it shows those Delta force soldiers and the Rangers, it makes me want to play even more. I name my characters and they are me and my cronies, and my best friend justin (who is always a demo guy) who I've always looked up to, he seems like he'd be a Delta. I really want these specialists. Kurtz
If the Nishi mod is a campaign, you have to play it first as a campaign, in order to unlock the specialists in quick mission. What is the big deal about using these specialists?
WytchDokta
The explanation as to why NCM GR/DS Unlocker does not unlock specialists in campaign mode is simple. The "unlockedhero.xml" files only apply to quick mission types. Trust me. I have 12 edited my "unlockedhero.xml" files so that I can have 12 specialists in GR, 12 in DS and 12 in IT. When I start a new campaign I get no specialists; when I start a quick mission I get 12 specialists.
Lupus
I am having trouble with this too, but only with Mods. SOTOMac was nice enough to send me Unlocked Hero and Mission files for Ghost Recon. When I run Ghost Recon Quick Missions there they are. Unfortunatly when I activate SOTOPlaster V4 and run Quick Mission I have a problem. The Missions are there but when I start a Mission and go to Specialists I get the classification and pictures of skinned Specialists (Demo, Rifleman, Sniper...) but no names. When I try to move these Specialists into a squad the label turns gray but they do not show up in the Squad visually. If I go ahead and select 6 team members or even just two and say start thee game crashes. Anyone have any idea what this is about?
