Low Profile
Holy Heck! No kidding about that Long Time No See, LP. I was wondering if you were looking at GRAW at all. I was sort of expecting you to wait on that 8th 400-DVD carousel changer, and a new remote. Hey GB! Yep, I've been checking out the demo. Has been a good break from my Pronto addiction, though I do have tons of movies to load in my changers and add to my remote. I really miss the drunken LAN parties we used to have back in the day. When I get my hands on the retail version of GRAW we'll have to hook up and give it a go. Am I right in assuming it will at least support 4 player mp coop out of the box? Yeah, Retail will have 4-player co-op out of the box (and I'll let you know tonight, if for some reason it doesnt). I gave the demo a spin with Rune and some others using Hamachi to establish a quick VPN connection though. Honestly, aside from the fact that it can be mad difficult coordinating with no respawns (I got TK-sniped in the back of the head a few times ) Co-Op is definately the biggest selling point of the demo for me. You know where to find the B, yes? Drop by, we'll post when we're throwing a game up or something.

SAF_Night Scope
@Low Profile: Very good points, well said. The control of your movement and stance could be greatly improved with your ideas. Options and controls that should be implemented: 1. "Toggle peek" ON: Press the key once to peek, and once again to go back. OFF: Hold the key to peek, release to go back. Something I noticed: you can't do a "quick peek" with the present system; I have to wait for the animation to reach the full peek movement before I can go back. 2. "Always run" ON: Hold the "Run" key to run, release to walk. OFF: Hold the "Run" key to walk, release to run. 3. "Shuffle" A very slow walk, that increases accuracy over the normal walking. The pips should stay within the reticule circle. It could also reduce footstep noise, although I can't hear any noise coming from the normal walking. Movement features that could be tweaked: 1. Crouch Only gripe I have here is not being able to crouch normally when running. Presently, if I am running and decide to go crouch without doing the "backslide", I have to release the run key and give it some time before it finally lets you crouch. The "hold" system would fix that -- if you just quickly press (tap) the crouch key, your character should go crouch normally; if you hold down the key, he does the backslide. 2. Prone spinning I also didn't really like how you can spin your character when prone. In GR1 you had a limited arch of weapon movement when prone, and if you wanted to point your weapon beyond that point, you had to rotate the rest of your body in that direction. I don't know if there are any chances of including this in the game, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Well, that's all for now. Colin, are all suggestions going to a list? EDIT: I haven't played the full version (only the demo), so if any of these things are fixed in the retail, please let me know. Apollo7
Hello everyone, Well, this is my second post here. Although I used to post at GR.net back in the GR1 days. I'm not sure what alias I used back then, but I remember playing on Whiteknight's server constantly. Also, I did play a little bit with the Team Aggression 2 squad (Whiteknight, you might remember me, I always used SA80/AT4 kit). Anyways, I've been stalking gr.net since last october, finally decided to sign up and maybe post once in a while. I was able to get in a few hours on the demo over the past weekend, so I thought I'd throw in my pennies. My first impression of the game was awe. The game looked amazing. While trying to familiarize myself with the controls, I realized that the tactical element was implemented very well. Of course I learned this the hard way, after two of my comrades were KIA after attempting to haphazardly plow through the first courtyard. I was very glad at this despite my failure. Restarting to make the second run through, I worked the Tactical map earnestly, using each of my teammates to overtake the same courtyard. Spending this extra time paid off, as everyone survived without a scratch. Further along, I realized that my tac map and teammates were an amazing combo. Acting as a commander, I simply stared at the tac map, and ordered my teammates about. I played through half the mission this way. All I had to do was move up after my comrades cleared an area, so that I could see more of the map. 45 minutes of play went by with amazing progress, and I hadn't even used my beloved SCAR-L yet. Unfortunately I did run into issues of my teammates running away from the perfect cover I had arranged for them, and thus, leading to thier demise. The game was capitvating and I loved the enemy AI. Watching them react to my teammates through the tac map was brilliant. I'll stop here, as everyone else has said what needs to be said! Overall, I think this game rocks. I cannot wait to pick up my copy of GRAW. Thanks GRIN for this amazing game! ~Apollo

_ST
Years ago when i got my first widescreen tv with surround sound i watched HEAT and whacked the volume right up, i love sounds of weapons firing. i kept playing the streetfight after they commit a robbery over and over, i tell you what this reminds of of that scene. The sounds in this game are amazing, to be honest the graphics are ok nothing special, but wow the sounds really get me immersed in the game. thanks sound guys, great job. Im going back to annoying my neighbours with the massive amounts of noise this demo is making. One last thing does anyone know what the diff in FPS is once your playing MP online, roughly im getting between 35- 45 on a 7600gs extreme full graphics 1024*768 but i guess when i hit the MP i will have to turn it all down?
