+Medic+~SPARTA~
The folks at Ageia have given us another taste of how their chip can make GR:AW a better game to play. See the footage here. And might I say it looks SWEET!

VeLocityChaos
I liked the first side by side they had before, better. Anyone else getting terrible sound when playing the Graw vids on the ageia site? Must have recorded that stuff at 12khz or something. semperfi_bohica
yes pretty cool. Is that a vid card? whats the $ .. ← it is another $300 on top of your video Card-BFG makes it for the 7900! pretty cool indeed!
Peace
I can't see why they don't make a HD download so you really can see the difference. Those clips are really small resolution (and bad sound quality)
Cutter
I think the material falls to slow to the ground after the explosion, almost like it is in slow motion. I personally don't think it is worth the money to buy a ppu for that, JMO.

I definitely wont be shelling out 300 bucks for a slow-motion explosion with half a sec of debris. Joseph_Q
The AGEIA explosion looks better indeed. Those two vids are better example than last track exposion vid because track exposion was to hollywood style. But i dont put AGEIA chip on top of my upgrade list. The regular explosion look very good too and im not going ( at the moment) to pay ~60$ for chip which will give me a few more deacals and smoke efect after exposions. Colin
Nice Find mate, I like the Hardware side but for a few seconds of goodies, is it worth it ???. Not for me any how. May be in the future when boards have them on already.

BADS-SMOKEATER
I won't be throwing any of my money into one anytime in the near future. Maybe a couple generations down the road. I was wearing my headset when i watched it and it was turned up.....about blew my ears out, sound really sucks
+Medic+~SPARTA~
Please keep in mind that the PhysX chip and boards are fairly new technology. The stand alone boards have barley been released. This is like the GEN 1 PhysX board. It SHOULD get better at tech advances just as video cards have greatly advanced even over the last 3 years. Rmember the old Rage Pro and Stealth cards?? I think we will see better chips and cards and programming in the near future. I, however will buy the PPU board when I need to give this game a boost for my entertainment pleasure.

3rdMillhouse
yes pretty cool. Is that a vid card? whats the $ .. ← That´s a Physics Processing Unit (PPU) card, dedicated completely to processing physics calculations trough the Physix Engine. That spares your main processor from calculating physics, dedicating itself (the main processor) entirely to the AI and the game. PS: AGEIA card video had lots of slowdowns, ahahah self-owned (sorry I just couldn´t resist) PS2: What the F.... How come didn´t the soldier reload the underbarrel G.Launcher on the AGEIA card video? (right before he shot the second 40mm grenade at the garbage dumpster) Edited April 14, 2006 by 3rdMillhouse
Rocky
I think the effect looks really cool, nice immersion for folks into eye candy, but I agree with previous posters they really need to get some high resolution movies online, those tiny movies do not do the technology justice. Stalker_Zero
Despite the very poor video quality and the fact that this is gen 1 technology.........*sigh*..... I can probably see myself shelling out the $300.00 bucks for the card near when the ppu cards launch in may. gawd I'm such a gr slave. Lethal.Ambition
1/2 the frame rate means the ruins fall a lot faster. But seriousyl, Ageia needs to get on the ball and release some real videos if they plan on selling jack, because they sure as heck haven't bought me with those crapphy side-by-sides.
