Ruin Posted April 3, 2006 Share Posted April 3, 2006 Okay... so I'm comparing the Nikon Coolpix P3 with the Coolpix P4 I notice that there's only one difference: Megapixels. Is the $50 to $100 price difference really worth the 0.1MP? Is there going to be noticable change or for me, the average and mildly artistic user? I'm curious, because the 0,1MP difference bugs me. There might be a slight difference, but for a person who is just using it for recreation (as I assume you are) I wouldn't fret over it. It appears I had faulty information (damnit Best Buy ) The difference between the P3 and P4 is that the P3 has WiFi to connect to your laptop or PC without a USB cable. That's the only difference. They got pro and amateurs posting their reviews or stories about different cameras and accessories. I convinced my mother to get a coolpix too and mind you she doesn't even know how to use a tv remote or her answering machine; and she just came back from Spain/Morocco/Portugal with these pictures She still forgets to use the proper features for indoor shots, so some are still yellowish. I plan on taking her to take more pictures so she'll get used to it. Good luck on your decision. Me I'd pass on the wifi stuff and save for more memory card. In all likely hood if this is NOT your first digi-cam, you already have a card reader (vis USB) which would go wasted if you opt for wifi. Yeah its convenient, but that's just me. I've found a package from H1Sales for $525 that comes with a 1GB memory card, a case, lens cleaner, desktop tripod, and an extra battery... which to me seems like a good idea for the extra money. Not to mention, I'm prone to lose cords, so the WiFi might be a nice little feature for me. Those are some great pics she took there. I like them :thumbup: The only thing I don't love about mine right now (aside from size) is the really bad portrait pics I can get, and my inability to have soft natural lighting. It's either white or dark. I'd like to have some manitpulation to get it right the firs time, lol. I'm digging through that review site now. Thanks again!
