Is this a good thing?

Yes, Logos, FWF is planning a migration if the game is as good as we all hope! We felt the team approach fall apart on BF2 as there was no incentive to stay alive, were let down by Lockdown, and are still playing RvS nightly :) .

I'm relatively new, only joined FWF this past October. I met the group when they were still into BF2 but after only about a month they dropped it and went back to RvS and AAO mostly. I still love BF2's eye candy and audio but not really a tactical shooter...

Had the exact same problem with Ti. We were really hoping to get back rolling again with Lockdown, until of course the demo came out and we saw what it really was. Now I'm just spending my time in the meantime playing Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, likely until GRAW comes out.

I'm generally not a fan of WW2 games, but for $25 I figured why not? Turned out to be quite a good tac shooter. I don't imagine it would be very good in competition unless you could muster a 12 man team minimum, but it has it's moments.

The closest reference you can give to it is to say it's a more realistic and tactical version of BF1942 with much fewer vehicles and no air/naval vehicles. Heavy infantry focus with several infantry only maps and the tanks actually have to be crewed by several people to make them fully functional. One driver, one commander to control the main gun and one for the side mounted machine guns if there are any on that tank.

It's a solid MP only game for a low price. Probably won't hold my attention once GRAW gets here, but that's largely because I prefer modern combat to historical (ww2, vietnam, etc). That and it's a way to support a good indie developer that's trying to build a reputation of creating realistic shooters.

Good game. They really butchered the entire RB6 series when they put them on the consoles. I hear people in the console forums literally crying for tactical shooters, but nobody seems to listen.

No, I don't own a 360, but I sure would if there were some good tactical shooters.

the “ctrl” key is used to drop and raise stance.

Can someone from GRIN say if this is the case or not??

thats a fast key to drop to the floor.

Then you have stance keys for the fine controles of stand, crouch, prone and some other "stuff" :)

Thanks for the clarification Bo, just what I wanted to hear.
