From Mature rating to Teen?

Recommended Posts

Teen rating is good for sales much better than Mature. Why is this important?

The simple reason is, that developing a game must be profitable for Ubi and GRIN.

Developing a Game is a great risk and development costs raising with the requirements of the customer! So if we want a next version of GR on PC this game must be a commerial success no matter of how many kids will play the game or not. If the level of gore is reduced for that effort then I'm fine with it.

If you don't have a teen rating (16+) here in Germany you can stop selling it, because no online shop will offer the game and advertisement is restricted. At the moment the PC version is not rated here.

Oh, maybe this (offtopic :P ) discussion Silent_op and Sup have about 'tactical shooter' vs. 'war simulation' should be put in a seperate thread? To my opinion it is a very interresting discussion.
