Zebb 7
I use "Real Player" as well as the media player, that seems to work really well..
Rocky 1,224
For web-based radio, I like http://launch.yahoo.com/, you can even rate songs and artists as it plays them so it starts to play music you like after a while.
Zebb 7
You wouldnt have thought they would have had "Donald Wheres Your Trousers" would you ?...... lol
magnumkp 0
The new realplayer is terrible on slightly slower machines. It takes up a huge amount of resources, and is constantly sending ads to get the full real player. I only have it so I can listen to Radio1 and 6Music, I've had words with some of the web guys at the bbc and asked if they would go back to using windows media player, but it doesn't look like it is on the cards. Rocky 1,224
Yeh I dont know why the BBC went for Realplayer - that always annoyed me. What addy did you use to complain, I'll drop them a line too
MEAN_MOFOKA-GT 0
Odd, I use WMP 9 and have had no problems with it but I also use WINAMP, www.winamp.com which I like just as much I don't like Real Player.
Zebb 7
Real players always run ok on mine so i guess i must have been lucky up till now ?....
magnumkp 0
Yeh I dont know why the BBC went for Realplayer - that always annoyed me. What addy did you use to complain, I'll drop them a line too I just got to know a few of the guys on the R1 team through the message boards and chatrooms, so just in the course of conversation I mentioned it a few times. You might like to try radio1.webteam@bbc.co.uk at an outside bet. I suppose it can't hurt to try. They did test it on media player for a few weeks, but for some reason went back to realplayer. And this is what I pay my license fee for! Grrrr
