I'm not an artist and really don't understand the process of it. Sorry if its a noobish question, but I always wondered that....And by the way thanks for that. Avalon Drew Posted March 22, 2006 Share Posted March 22, 2006 It's called a wireframe, and it makes up the basic 3D geometry of the models, or everything that's physical in the game world; such as cars, characters, buildings, etc. And actually, there didn't used to be a million lines. It used to be very few, but as hardware and software technology has progressed, it's allowed for increasingly detailed game geometry. Hope that helps. The models are great, of course, but I don't see any of the detail I'd expect from a normal map or traditional texture when I go over the transition between smooth shaded and textured.
