=warcloud= 0
I wonder if they will let me upgrade my X1800XT 512MB. News from some gaming forums say the R520 "FUDO" is old, lol.

DS ← I do remember that ATI had this trade-up program in previous years. Worth it if you have an old TNT or 3dfx card that won't run anything anymore.

I'm sticking with my X800XT (fits in single slot w/ fan ) likely til the DX10 cards come out. After all, I guess I already have a X1K series chip in the Xbox 360 ... if that counts

Turning on your pc or restarting it, the fan spins up and it is quite loud. 2D mode is quiet, when gaming obviously it gets louder but it does not seem to bother me, it's probably a tad louder than my three 120mm case fans in 3D. I had a nVidia ref 6800GT 256mb agp and that was loud in 2D and 3D and i had to put a zalman vf_700cu cooler on it, no plans to put a 3rd party cooler on the x1800xt. And i might add that i'm somewhat sensitive to overall pc case noise. But to be totally honest with ya, if i'm wearing headphones/headsets or listening through creative's 2.1 THX speakers then obviously ya don't hear any fans.
