M95-Sniper Posted March 12, 2006 Share Posted March 12, 2006 (edited) I was on these forums for a good part of the last three weeks anticipating the release for GRAW. As a pc-gamer, I can hardly say it, but GRAW for x360 is: Amazing! And that is from a gamer who hasn't played a console game in 3 years. The graphics: Sharp, great effects, teriffic lightning. The Sound: Unbelievable The gameplay: It's tense, even under the normal settings it is a tactical hard game. You'll die many times before finishing it. Making you act tactical. Think, run for cover, asses the situation, eliminate your enemy. After the first part in Mexico city, you are brought to the outskirts, it's night and it seemed like not much was going to happen during this part of the game. You'll have a thought about whishing that it was as good as the first part of the game. At that very moment, while you're thinking about it. The game turns, it turns in a big way. All of a sudden you are in one of the biggest fights you canj imagine, with tanks and apache around you in a severe nightfight. It's just ######ing amazing. After that the game keeps surprising you. I love it. Best game I played since a very very long time. Couldn't put down the joypad before I finished it. I would rate it: 9.5 out of ten. I miss an extra amount of rifles in the sp-game. Bugs / Thoughts: There is a reload animation. The soldier ejects the magazine from his rifle and grabs a new magazine from his jacket. The magazine stays in his rifle and only his hand moves. The M107 is called the M307, that is really abit silly. When you shoot a marksman and his rifle drops to the ground. It's called a M307 instead of M107. Extra content would be lovely. I even downloaded the Quake4 demo to do some extensive aim training. What better than that for training? Run and gun by the seconds.. I believe once I get better at Q4 I could kick some butts in GRAW. The sad part is I'm playing with a regular standard TV so I can't really spot enemies when they are at some distance or dark spots. I'm finishing my basement...once I'm done I should be able to buy a big A.r.s.e HDTV and then that will make justice to the game. Than switched to my monitor, huge difference in quality and playablity. But a HDTV will do it even more justice. Will be getting one soon. tangovictor Posted March 13, 2006 Share Posted March 13, 2006 (edited) I'm loving the console version as is - but it is only making me salivate at the pc release so I can aim better than a newborn fawn. Just wish you could play all the singleplayer maps in mp mode... oh well. I'm having fun with a solid group of guys playing co-op campaign... limited number of maps, but it's fun nonetheless. Drones have got to go for the true GR team deathmatch though... Add me - invite me - I'll do the same.
