Otto 0
I installed the game and patched to 1.4. When I run the game it says "Insert original cd." I have the CD in the drive and it doesn't work. It came with my video card. AMD XP 2400+ Asus A7N8X Mobo 512 mb Cosair (dual channel config) MSI GeForce 4 Ti 4200 DX 9 I have heard there's issues with DX9 and GR but I won't redo my system for a game. Nope sorry. I can't remove DX9 either so if there isn't anything I can do I'm just going to have to wait for UBI to put out another patch.
Otto 0
Problem Fixed: I e-mailed UBi soft and they gave me this solution for the problem: Download the temporary MSI Ghost Recon fix from Moderator edit for contentzp the contents to the Ghost Recon folder overwriting the existing GhostRecon.exe file. You must be fully patched to v1.4 before copying this file to the game folder. Make sure that you also head over to www.nvidia.com and install the 41.09 video drivers for your video card. Once these steps are done, you should not have any more trouble. Please do not post this on any public forum as it is not a patch, but a temporary workaround until MSI can resolve the problem. It worked. Edited March 21, 2003 by WhiteKnight77

WhiteKnight77 1
I had to edit the link out. Make sure that the link that was provided by Ubi isn't posted anywhere else that you may have asked about this problem. you do not want to mess up sometihng for other GR players that got the game with their MSI vid card.
