Texturing Muzzles

Can anyone tell me a good and simple way of texturing muzzles?

I've tried everyway I can think of and cant get it.

Tried watching Pains video but thats the one section that seemes to be overlooked.

Please guys help its infuriating :wacko::blink:

The problem is that I can't figure out how to select the end of the cylinder to wrap the texture onto, I saw in your video that you just seemed to select it and place the texture onto it.

I'll try to get some screenies but can u tell me how u select the end of a cylinder to place the texture please bud?

Select the barrel, go to Edit Mesh and choose Polygon, take your mouse and select the end of the barrel, it should turn Red. From your Modify Tools window (Where Edit Mesh should be), scroll down and you'll find Detatch, do that and name it then you can texture that part seperately.
