Stinger 0
For just plain internet tweaks there really isnt much you can do. A site can offer to make yuor internet 5 TIMES BETTER...but it wont. There is a thing in the registry you can edit to make dloads a bit faster but your dloads are already fine. There really isnt anything like what your wanting. And if you hear otherwise...then it is proly just someone trying to get you to go to their site.

Stinger 0
I think this http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/1164/ is it. Not sure, it doesnt seem like it is but then again it kinda does...not sure how much it helps let a lone for broadband and or 56k. Also I doubt you will really notice any diffs but hey nothing really does. Edit feel free to correct me on this anyone Edited March 20, 2003 by Stinger
Guest TheJunglist.
I think what Stinger is talking about is the setting FOr your DefaultTTL and TcpWIndowsSize these are Hex values that can be edited in your registry. HK Local Machine>Software>System>CUrrent Control Set>Services>Tcpip>Parameters. dont go monkeying around wiht these settings unless you are used to Hex numbers as it can hurt ass well as help. CHeck www.dslreports.com for their forums an some general internet tweaks. Also Stinger is correct in saying there isnt much u can do except either A) pay for more bandwidth ie, upload speed B) stay on your provider to make sure they havent capped you at a lower speed. C) uncap your modem which is illegal an essentially stealing bandwidth which i dont recommend as you isp will find out an get your ass throw in jail. anyways check that site for their speed test an performance comparisons and let me know what u find out. oh an btw Nkog i like the mod congrats Hope this helps. Tr4nC3R 0
I have a prog that is a combined modem/lan/cable booster and an integrated pc booster. Yes is does work and my d/l are rapid now. If you message me with your e-mail address I will post you the file. Can not sya any more on here. I will however say this. I have messed arround for years with computers and never ever seen anything that works as well as this. Although the booster for your wan connection can take upto 10min to automatically configure your machine. I suggest that you mail me asap and request that I mail you the link for d/l. Kindest regards ps. Do you have adsl or high speed internet connection ? If so I will mail you the prog
