pz3 338
Ok I been looking at Gaming Laptops Alienware seems to be making the best, Dell following not far behind. I know the cost quiet a lot for a top of the line peformed like a desktop. but if you have wireless broadband, like verizon or somthing. Could you game anywhere at anytime online? pz3 338
im guessing yes. this makes me really want to buy one. Instead of just going to a friends house and telling them how awsome a PC game is you just bring your laptop and let them play it. and then they can even try multiplayer aswell
firefly2442 0
Or you could go for one of the small form factor computers. One of my roommates has one, it's pretty nice. Not enough upgrade potential for my tastes though.
Papa6 88
Firefly, I'd say that the upgrade path for small form factors is a non legit argument. I just read in the last month that a company, I think monarch computers Monarchpc.com offers thier SFF pc's with SLI. You can pretty much have this little rig built to your specs and it will be very mobile. The gaming laptops are nice and fast but just not worth the cost if you find yourself having to upgrade something. Laptops are still not wholly upgradeable Edited March 5, 2006 by Papa6
Cpl Ledanek 247
I find my 8hr job gets in the way of my gaming I've been throwing down ideas on how to get more game time solutions only to come right back to SFF. Its portable, it might fit in my locker. Maybe with a KVM under the desk, away from supervisor's eyes, I can squeeze more gaming time. Though those Dell XPS laptop would be sweeter. Cobblers 12
I know wireless is improving, but isn't there still some lag to associated with it when gaming online?
