drpascal
Will the X360 version allow me to connect a USB keyboard and mouse to the X360 to control my character? I feel like this is the only thing that'd stop me from waiting for the PC version.

Clum-Z-Boy
Actually, from what I've heard (and, indeed, personnal experiments), you can use any USB device with the 360... well, just about any. Although you'd look quite weird lying on the floor with a keyboard and mouse (By the way, I know you'd get a table set-up or whatever, don't worry)

It really helps you type out those Xbox Live messages, let me tell you that. The games (the console maybe?) are designed so as to not give you keyboard/mouse control of your characters in game. desertranger12
i dont know why they dont make it avaliable to control your character wit a keybouard, would probably give an advantage... Do not bypass the wear filter and do not attack console gaming Edited March 2, 2006 by NYR_32

They eacy have their perks.

Once you get the hang of it, aiming can be more intuitive, since you're able to make nice, straight strokes and whatnot, as opposed to the broken strokes made by a mouse. BigOlBrain
I wouldn't mind a mouse and keyboard but I like the xbox controller just the same. I wouldn't mind trying it out though....

If you wanted to turn around six times with a mouse, you'd have to move it multiple times. On a controller you just hold and wait.

When you've a gamers mouse, you can switch dpi on the fly. I'll trun faster and more precise than a stick anyday of the week. Cheers
BigOlBrain
I like both mouse and controller. I can use both with no problem (as long as the controller is the xbox) but what gets me is when people say mouse is more realistic. How in the world could that be true? You can turn at completely unrealistic speeds. I mean really there is no limit to how fast you can look around and I just don’t see how this is realistic. Then you always hear the guys that say “but mouse is so precise that the controller just can’t compareâ€. And I would have to say that’s very true. However the problem here is that you can’t miss. It’s way to accurate imo. Mouse just makes things so easy. I also like that with the xbox you get to pull a trigger. Just has a cool feel to it especially with the force feedback. On the other side of the coin I like the control of the mouse. Just feels good to me. It also slows down the game because even a blind man could get a kill with a mouse…..but it does force people to play a little more tactical, which is always good. Just my opinion but I think if people were to really play with both they would see that both are good options.
