Sup 0
http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/black/review.html 7.4 The Good: Really sharp audiovisual presentation; makes a great first impression; lots of glass to break. The Bad: Not much reason to play through it more than once; gameplay feels stuck in a rut; disappointing story; often-idiotic artificial intelligence There's also a 10 minute video review. Hopefully if EA lets them make another action game Criterion will refine things a little better.

pz3 338
but it was nothing special storyline wise.
Sup 0
I rented and beat it. (03:58 play time, PS2, Normal) The game is excellent. Huge variety in level design, good combat, good enough AI (although spotty), great sense of style, excellent music. Simple, sure, but really fun. I don't really understand what Gamespot's problem with it was. Asylum (the level I think was in the demo) was by far the worst part of the game. I suggest HF gives the full game a try. There isn't much replay value, but it's a great linear shooter. Far better than Killzone, at the very least. Storyline's fine, too. Nothing all that special, but certainly easy to follow. I don't understand what the reviewer had trouble with.
