AUY2K
Right now I have a P2 300 mhz, 4mb video card, and 64 mb SDRAM on my PC. If I upgrade to a 32 mb 3D Video Card and 256 mb SDRAM. Will this be enough to run GR smoothly on my system? I am trying to do this the cheapest way possible to get GR to work on my system. Also, another side question. I have 3 slots for memory right now 2 slots are used up with 32 mb SDRAM. Will I be able to upgrade my memory to 256 mb SDRAM with just 3 slots? (If you can't tell I am computer illiterate.) AUY2K
Oh, and what if this should work (I am planning on buying GR Gold Ed.) Which Mods are the best to download? Also, any other suggestions for patches that are recommended to download. Thanks.
Stinger
Some mobos (motherboards) do support diff amounts of on ram sticks some dont. What type is yours? And the CPU is gonna keep it from running smoothly, I doubt it meets the min. reqs too.
WhiteKnight77
Actually, it's time to consider building a new PC. A P2 is ancient and will hardly run any games that have come out in the last year very well and will undoubtedly not be able to run any new game. Jex
I run a pII400mhz celeron with a gefrorce 2 64mb card (£30/$26) and 256mb RAM, Win98. I have no problems running the game in SP though I do have my graphic options turned down. I have no shadows what-so-ever and my graphics set to medium detail. The minimum spec is as follows; PII 450Mhz 128mb Ram 16 MB Graphics Card. 1GB Disk Space I only notice a slow down in performance when I play MP games (get rid of Show Dead Bodies and 0 bullet holes to increase performance). Saying this though it is only on certain maps in MP that it slows down. On the whole it's pretty good.
