I am not familiar with how Mac's use TCP/IP protocols or even if there is a software firewall that needs disabling, but start with making sure that the firewall will allow GR to pass between the machines. Specter 0 Posted January 30, 2006 Share Posted January 30, 2006 (edited) You need the same workgroup name, different IP's if using static ip addressing versus DHCP. If using a firewall, ports 2346-2347 must be enabled to pass through to each machine. Both machines must be running the same version of the game, and the same mods, if any, and those versions must be the same also. Using a direct connection between both computers, regardless of being a PC or MAC, requires a crossover networking cable, not a standard one.
