FA sear 0
I had some free time during lunch on Monday, so I stopped by an EBGames. I saw a copy of Lockdown for $25, so I figured for that price I might as well check it out. The game is kind of lame. The way the enemy shoot is kind of wierd to say the least. They walk around with the gun pointed to the ground and just as they pull the trigger the gun is quickly raised then dropped again until the next quick burst of rounds. They walk toward you with the gun bobbing up and down as they fire short quick bursts, and no, it is clearly not the effect of recoil that is being animated. The AI are still pretty lame, not as bad as previous iterations of Rainbow, but still lame, and very inconsistent. They go from running for cover faster than Jesse Owens, to casually walking around as you shoot everyone around them. The maps are still VERY linear and you still have that rat in a maze feel. I know games like Halo/Halo2 are also linear, but you still don't have that "trapped" feeling that you get in Rainbow. Overall I'm glad I only paid $25 for the game, as I don't think it is worth anymore than that at this point. I have only run three levels, so maybe my opinion with change a bit later on, but for some reason I doubt it. Overall, it is still a better game IMO than the previous Rainbow games, but then again, I really did not like the Rainbow series to begin with. I have heard that the Rainbow series is much better on the PC. If it is, then it is a shame that the Xbox did not get the same quality of games.
