Running Multiplayer Alone

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Ive played GR on and off for a few years. I took a break, and now I'm back into it. I used to be able to play the multiplayer section by myself (So I would gain full access to the specialists, etc). Unfortunately, I'm unable to do that now...

I go into the multiplayer section, create game, and select the ready checkbox. After about 2 seconds, it deselects the checkbox and goes nowhere.

Is there a setting I need to change to regain this functionality?

I have tried all permutations on the edit server screen, but all to no avail. I really miss this part of GR, so if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Guys...

I'm running version v1.2.10.0

On the server setup screen, my settings are as follows:

Game Mode: Co-Op

Type: Firefight

Difficulty: Veteran

Max players: 16

Next Map: In Order

Map Reps: 1

Respawn: None

Available Kits: No restrictions

Auto-Start Timer: No Timeout

Allow Observers: Checked

Arcade Mode: Checked

AI Backup: Checked

Once back on the player setup screen, the right arrow at the bottom is greyed out, so I cant click it. Clicking the Ready checkbox places a cross in it for about a second, then removes it. The screen stays where it is.

On the Roster tab, under team selector, only the first, blue tab with a number 1 is there (the rest are greyed out). All slots are -EMPTY-

Any suggestions?

Cheers,

TheAlfheim

Do you know how to do this?

(make available, then join?)

Possibly I'm off the nut here, but do you not just double-click left mouse button at/over any of the slots under Blue Team; then a sec or two later, your defaultplayer name shows up there, i.e., you've joined & can then launch?

and, anotherthing that isn't menitoned, make sure you bring whatever equipment that is mission critical..!

ie, if you're out hunting tanks, make sure you got anti tank rockets.

and, if you are suposed to blow things up, bring some demo charges.

i don't think it will start without mission critical items.
