I haven't read all of the information yet, but it looks really cool. If there was some way an entire team like RSi or 30+ could join up and work together as a squad(s), that would be even better.

---Edit---

Ah, it appears they have a "Clan Fusion" program.

Battlefield 2 Combat Clan Fusion allows clans to join the same side and to play as one cohesive unit. Players will all be assigned to the same sub-unit, a group of ten players, and will be able to play together during battles and practices.

Very cool indeed.

Just finished boot, this week starts a new tour. I'll post more next week after the battles and let you know what I think then.

If you have X-Fire, could you kindly add me to your list: Ledanek.

I had some free time yesterday, I was able to join PRMM2 community and their clan is too tight for noobs like me. Understandably, but can't stand joining other groups that are 30yrs old and below. Too much fragfest.

I'm old and tactical...like Michael Jordan after getting married---just jumpshots.

Its fairly easy to join.

If you have paypal it takes 10-15 mins to get the confirmation mail.

Fee is $ 9 for 3 months !!

New tour is kicking off this week. tour is 3 months.

Div training is once a week, and its really fun to go on public servers with these players. they rock ! This is set up as a military unit and you have a certain role, Sometimes AT, sometimes C4 duty, sometimes Assault...etc.

We play 2 times a week for 10 hours each time !

You can join and leave as you want, and there is no obligation to play more than you want.

RSi has 8 players there now. Its really the BF2 i wanted to see. We are all in the 3IF, 18 (Armor) and 21(Inf) divisions. So we play in the same battles, even if we are in seperate divisions.

There is also PLA and US armys.. SF and Airforce are invite only and require a Cpl rank. You start Rct (recruit and get Pfc ( Private first Class) after bootcamp

If you join up you can ask to be put in the same army/div, if you join as a team, that way you can play and practise together.

Its really worth the $ 9 !

Here is a guy that joined up with BF2net and was very sceptical about it. He, like many others was fed up with the game becoz of the public server outrage. He joined up but was thinking of quitting... didnt think it was worth the money.

But he agreed to play in one battle first... :P

Here is a post from him after he played battle 1:

Well, i figured i would drop in here really quick and sort of "update" my current feeling on BF2C after my first battle day. I wasnt really going to write anything, but after a few guys in the 505 comenting on my previous post ("some honest info please") i figured i would provind an update, as it were, to let the admins, or anyone else for that matter see how a newb feels after a hard days work. Sorry if its long, but here is my story:

I logged in after a hard days work, hoping to get a spot for a map or two. My nerves are scattered. My palms sweaty, and for the first time, in a long time, im nervous about a video game. Will i be awesome? The new golden child? Will i stink the server up? What will my NCO's and CO's think of me...what do i say...how do i act......Well, guess ill find out soon. So i jump onto TS and hit the waiting room. And i wait. Soon one of the senior members jumps down to say hello, and tells me to let someone know...briefly, that i am here.

"This is Echo2 reporting for duty sirs. If you need me, i'll be in the waiting room" I say.

And sooner than expected i was in.

And i do mean IN.

My heart races....my fingers twitch, and i look all around in a frenzy looking for my first kill, to prove my self, to show im not a noob.......and..... nothing. For agonizing seconds feeling like years i twitch, i look around, i strafe.....still.......

nothing........

And then....

BOOOOOOM!!!

From all around, here they come, my squad starts calling targets, grenades explode in a shower of virtual dust, the tracers zip by, and the earth shatters, and i am dead.....for now, but the game is ALIVE.....

Suddenly i spawn back in, weapon at the ready, i call targets as i see them (am i talking too much i wonder?) "Good looking out" someone says....(nope im doing fine)

I see them coming from left and right, helos above, and we have APCs entering form the east. I light up a bad guy...duck, weave, reload, light up another...die, spawn, kill, die, spawn....and the squad moves like a machine.weapons at the ready, frineds covering new-found friends. And for the first time in a long time, my pulse rockets, my heart pounds, and i fall in love with the game all over again.

The 505 is taking a beating, but we WILL not give up our post. And we dont. For what seemed like forever we hold off the chinese. No helo, tank or APC will stop us. Targets get called out, my new buddy saves my life with a well placed shot. We have our orders, and the 505 does not back down......

Wait a second i think..... is that....yes, yes it is...its....PRIDE.....ive only known these guys for an hour, and only been in the 505 a day or so, and already i feel....PRIDE.......im PROUD to be in the here. Im proud to be with these guys. I felt a sense of accomplishment for the hard work these guys are doing. And hell, its just a GAME!

Well, we won some and we lost some. The enemy put up the toughest and hardest fight ive ever had in battlefield. We never budged and neither did they. Ever paice of soil was hard faught ground, and damnit, i wouldnt have it any other way. Because i know now, neither would they.

So, if any one reads this who is hesitant about signing up for BF2C.....dont be. I assure you. This...THIS is what the game is about. This is why we play. This is what the game is supposed to be. Fun, challenging, and ultimately more rewarding than any Public server dares to be.

Thanks to the guys from 82|505 for showing me the ropes. And i cant wait to learn more. But for now, know that i am proud to be [82] 505|Rct. Echo2. And its only my first day.
