That all happened from moving it, and the BIOS problem originated with him taking out the battery, then powering it up. When you remove the battery, the BIOS defaults back to safe settings. And with BIOS'es, the safe settings are Very safe. It figures if you're having enough problems that you need to reset the BIOS, then it needs to be where it won't ruin any hardware.
