Stalker_Zero 0
Ok, Great, I'm here at work in the office alone no supervisor botherin me. And to quote blackburn/foxtrot......"I'm bored!" So I've decided to download and install America's Army here at my work computer. The thing is though now that its installed I can't get it to load up my profile! Its probably a firewall or something but if that was the case then why does the internet work? Does anybody know of a work around besides me having to sneak into the IT department and fool around with their servers? Stalker_Zero 0
Well, ok but what ports do you think got blocked? Was the ports for AA blocked specifically or do you think it was a range of ports? And if it was a range of ports then that would imply that there are a range of ports that are reserved for gameplay or something? How does it work?
Zeko 33
It's simple. They r all blocked by default in router. U just open port XX or range of ports for computer with IP XX or the whole workgroup and thats it.

Dannik 43
There is a way to get around this sort of block. It's resource and technologically intensive, though. Basically, you need a box that is unrestricted, and running a proxy on port 80 (meaning it's going to get rooted darn fast, if it's a Win machine), and to use it as a proxy to connect to AA friendly ports. It's feasible, but painfully complex. Find a web-based game. Seriously.
