Ok, two Hold Me Tonite trailers have been released. I'm just waiting for GB to come online so he can upload them. I think he's out right now though, so probably no change of getting uploaded 'til the morning.

The trailers are of different sections of the track. Astra sings in both trailers (in trailer one she only sings the chorus, in trailer 2 you hear her sing part of verse one, then all of verse two and most of the chorus.

Come on GB, get online! I wanna get my transmission to Mars uploaded!

Alright guys,

We've decided not to release publicly any trailers. Instead, we will release the full tracks. Imy is just to upload the tracks now (he's currently dropping a few more samples into Jarheads (Contact)). I must say, that firefight sounds awesome overlayed over those movie samples....

Hold Me Tonite is 100 per cent complete now. It's actually lucky we didn't release Hold Me Tonite sooner; after Hold Me Tonite Work In Progress version 3 release 3 (supposed to the final version of the track and not a WIP), I actually noticed a few more minor issues that need fixing, like a few thing were still too loud. So they were fixed in WIP v3r4. But anyway, it's all done now.

By the way, Jarheads (Contact) was produced and remixed exclusively by Goosebumps (Gravitude). I've done the additional FX, vocal FX and firefight sequence on Jarheads (Contact). However, Hold Me Tonite was exclusively produced, remixed & re-arranged by me. You should also know that in Hold Me Tonite I have sampled from Jarheads (Contact), I've also dropped in samples from I Believe In You (I made a special little section right in the middle of the track and remixed it all in with Hold Me Tonite; when you hear those samples from Jarheads (Contact), you can still hear Astra saying "hold me...." over and over).

Thanx for the shouts WD...

Jarheads (Contact) is complete now .. just doing some final touches ... like glitches from "Bridging", samples, volume controls etc... we gonna upload & display Hold Me tonite & Jarheads at the same time ... :rocky:

Jarheads is our first track, Hold Me Tonite is the second..

can't wait  .. ! .. we won't make Hold Me Tonite available to the public until Jarheads (Contact) is uploaded .. Or instead .. People can ask upon request .. We do not comercialise our tracks to the public or do performances .. Due to to Propaganda & Producing Laws ...

hoo-ah ..

Sounds awesome now with those Full Metal Jacket, Matrix and Black Hawk Down movie samples in.

The Full Metal Jacket samples where grabbed and edited by me, the Matrix and Black Hawk Down samples were grabbed by Goosebumps.

Yeah, GB can't be bothered to upload the tracks tonight, I mean, er.... He hasn't got time now, and is about to go sleep....

Hold me tonite is poor, sorry. As far as I can hear, its just copied samples over tinny beats. The girl obviously has a talent, the vocals are clean though the lyrics are a little simple for my taste. Kudos to her, but haven't you just ripped them from some other track and put them on yours? If its a cover (or remix) then I don't see how adding samples of gun fire and various random sound bytes improves it. Try making your own sound from the ground up, music, vocals and effects.

The next track is the same as the before mentioned Hold me Tonite. Just seems like electronica mixed with samples (like the Surgeon General/GR voices/effects) and isn't anything new. I dont think the various sections fuse together well either.

What I hear: A bunch of rag tag sound effects layered over the music of others(??)

To improve: Make your own tunes and effects!

Credit to the original artists of the effects and tunes.

Come on, GB, do you want feedback or not?

Constructive criticism was offered. Not everyone is going to like what one person designs. But we all need to learn to deal with positive and negative feedback.

I agree, Mothergoose ... Avey was cool enough to provide some solid feedback. I'm a dolt when it comes to laying down tracks but it sounds to me Avey knows what he is talking about. Also, he brings up a very good point ... credit should be given where credit is due if in fact it is due. Just something to keep in mind.

I personally liked it ... but putting your neck out there means you get feedback, both positive and negative.

I was just trying to offer you some feedback. It wasn't positive feedback, but I didn't rip it apart. I told you what I didn't like and how I thought it could of been improved.

Whether its music, sport, writing etc. you have to be prepared to take on board what people say.

I'm still unsure that the sections melt into each other well. Going from 'You killed Kenny' (a la South Park fame) to Eminem and then to Snoop Dog all within 10 seconds doesn't seem right to me somehow. I think one problem is that you try and stuff too much into one track and as a result it never has a consistent theme to it, just random noises.

You obviously understand the program that you use, so why not make your own beats, your own samples and your own lyrics/vocals on some tracks. I'd like to listen to your music and not various bits of others. :)

Here you can listen to some beats i made & some bass lines .. Although i got vocals from the Bryan Adams - Heaven Live Concert Track, i just increased the BPM of the vocal then slapped some of MY OWN beats ..

This was done way before GR Unit started ... It was when i started Mixing & Creating ..

DJ Gravitude - Heaven (BreakBeatMix)

I use FL studio for my Beat samples or Riffs..
