For some unknown reason I have never gone above 1280x1024 res on my setup, mainly because I have 85hz refresh and anything above is only 60hz.

So only yesterday I bothered to go "full wack" .. and even though refresh rate is lower its not much flicker at all. Well ... super crisp it is indeed and runs mint on 4x AA .

With the new character skins(HERE) ... its a total refreshing look at the game.

Why did I not bother before hand .....:D

Ive never went over 1280x too, but mainly because i always felt you need an awfuly big monitor for large resolutions , and ive only had a Radeon 9800 9250 and GeForce 4 MX... Then theres performance issues (that is if you arent rich or making tons of money... and probably have a GeForce 7800 SLI PCI-e) anyway im gonna have to try it when i get my PC back..

Oh and because i never knew GR could look that good in the first place :S

Those CHR are the best thing ive seen in GR... :santa:

Hmm, since I just updated my SLI-PC with two 6800 GT with new Forceware 81.85 driver, I might try it out.

Those eÅ kwaadâ„¢ CHR are something else. I viewed them on my other PC with GF2Ti4200 at 1024x748 they ALREADY look awesome.

I do have a 19" monitor and it does make a difference at that high res.

IE: if you switch AA off .. its less abvious at that res, so you can have no AA and it isnt as annoying for better performance.

as promised :my screenshot---BIG!!! 1280 x 1024 no hiccups

just don't know how to take the roughness out and smoothen it. I didn't see the AA setting from GR graphics settings. WK had made a walkthru about the AA settings, seems I can't find it right now.

My vid card is set at nVidia's driver setting for SC: Chaos Theory with all the bells and whistle turned on.

another BIG screenshot after I change my display setting at 1280x960.

what does AA mean?

i have a Mac with a 19inch monitor and i think the briefing and

soldier screens are kinda blurry, but not when i play, when im

in the game its crisp and sharp.

Anti-aliasing...I think it has something to do with getting rid of those square edges.

something like that.

nothing to do with mip-map?

i think GR to PC has more options than Mac.

maybe i can´t do so much to some things, not that im unhappy

in any way.

but im always interested if i can improve the looks and such.

There are actually a few mor Mac players here. They just don't post that much. Do a search in the forums and I'm sure you'll find a few.

Good luck
