salut mes amis,

I've got some good news for ya!

I had some time this afternoon and didn't know what to do with it so I was able to some work on the mod.

I'll post screenshots of my new sniper specialist tomorrow but don't expect too much as it's just the standard sniper chr reskinned with MARPAT.

I will also change the weapons loadout:

-> standard snipers now carry the M14 DMR instead of M16A4 with scope and M40A3

-> the new sniper specialist will carry the M40A3 & M40A3-SD

-> I'll make a second sniper specialist (probably based on Scott Ibrahim's chr) who will carry the M82A3

Started with polishing up the skins.

Demolitions (I know one of the pouches looks odd. I'll fix it later)

I will add more head attachments (I don't want to have Riflemen, Supporters and Demo guys wearing the same helmets):

Rifleman: Helmet

Support: Marine cap from IT

Demo: Boonie

I'll also change the weapons loadout so that every marine will have only one primary weapon.

Expect more screenshots soon!

Demolitions:

Looks awesome CC. Only thing I'd suggest is swapping the red white and blue for a subdued version.

I too prefer the subdued flag but all you see on post (Schofield Barracks is 5 miles away) are Red, White, & Blue (RWB) flags. The thing is the subdued flag is a controversial topic between the US military being "tactical & practical" and violating the US flag code. Folks not only complaining about the subdued colors but the flag being worn "backwards" & that it should be worn close to the heart, etc, etc. I can understand some of the argument but to be honest I definitely preferred wearing my subdued flag in the jungle. The RWB doesn't look bad on desert cammies but sure as heck stands out (as in the screenshot) on green woodland. I understand the Army has opted for "practical" and there should be a new subdued flag for the new ACU (Army Combat Uniform) once the Army determines the exact specs.

... when I was looking for reference photos on the web I found many marines (and soldiers) wearing the RWB flag. That's why I changed it.

Previously, the flag was only sewn on before deployment but its now a 24/7 deal. Currently RWB is the only authorized flag. Subdued flags are definitely out for now. Here are a couple links that provide some background.

BTW, as for the new ACU, I should have said "there could be a new subdued flag" (not should) as the article I read wasn't clear on what specifications the Army was looking into. The flags might still be RWB but possibly smaller to make them not as noticeable. Sorry for the confusion.

I dont see why people get so upset about the stupidest things. I think they can make an exception with army uniforms. I mean, I would be pretty pised off if the enemy shot me or one of my friends because they see a flag sticking right out.
