firefly2442 0
Why are Massively Multiplayer Online Games so appealing to people? What is it about them that makes them special or different than other games? For those of you that play games like this, what makes a good MMOG?
NightCrawler 137
I know some people that play MMOG, they act like it's their drug of choice. LOL Personally I can't see paying to play a game after I've already bought it at the store.

firefly2442 0
What if the game was free? Would you be more interested or play it more?
NightCrawler 137
If it was a genre that I liked yes I would be interested, because of the reasons that Snake stated.
Stalker_Zero 0
The thing is I am waiting till grid networking gets more involved in mmogs. That way its supposed to cheapen the monthly price next to nothing. Because while I'm intrigued.....I don't want to play 10 dollars a month to play quake. No matter if I am nuking hundreds of enemies at a time. That would be cool though! Using tactical nukes to take out several at a time.
nib 0
I like them because a) they're dynamic b) there are lots of people to talk to/interact with and c) they have a massive scale/feel As far as b goes, its weird because I don't even like interacting with people that much. I just like running into a town and seeing a couple dozen other people doing stuff in that town, talking, crafting or whatever. Its just...different. I tried playing Morrowind, which I think is about as close to a MMORPG that a single player game could be, and just found it boring because there weren't any other people playing.
