Hey guys.

Anyone know why Opera won't see Flash banners, images, etc....

I installed the plug-ins, verified the files were where they were supposed to be.

Thought I fubarred something in Opera, so I uninstalled it, removing all files and folders, and re-installed it and the plug-in.

No dice.

Any ideas?

Opera created two directories for me when I first installed it. It created "Opera75" and "Opera". Both contain a "plugins" folder, your best bet is to make sure both of them have the flash plugin inside. :)

Cool. Thanx, buddy. I'll check that out.

I checked.  No dual folders.

I also have the same issue with FireFox.  The problem occurs for me over at the RSi site.  There flash banner and menus, as well as the links don't show.

The flash banner has never worked for me over at RSi. *shrugs*

If it is happening elsewhere, have you got the latest plugin which is Flash8?

I think the issue is with the coding on the site itself.  The top menu appears in MSIE, but no other browser I've tried.

Basically, it's not Opera, it's not Flash, it's IE-specific non-standards coding.

Dannik is correct. Thats why i should demand that all webpages should go through W3C validators but who am i to demand something lol?

And then you would need all browsers to meet the W3C standards, which sadly they don't. I don't think I need to mention the name of one browser which doesn't. :P
