Colin Posted October 9, 2005 Share Posted October 9, 2005 The giving time all over the world is Christmas Me and my Daughter wanted so much to be playing G.R.A.W. this Chritsmas but it will not be here just like the snow. [Westcountry Warm Weather] Most of us who play PC games are just like the kids, its the one time that me and my little girl 17 years, come together and have loads of fun and bond the hell out of each other. This years Christmas box has been scooped away by the powers that be, to be given that extra bit of playability. I have a request for me, the community, and my Daughter this Christmas To: Mathieu Girard UBI Bo Andersson Grin. Please can we have this Christmas a demo of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter We have both been good this year and we have tried to be possitive about your games, and helped you get lots of ideas. I know WK is the man for the job but then again he may have a different view on realisticly getting a demo .. WK .... thoughts? Be great to have a playable demo of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.I was just thinking.. All the games out now, when Windows Vista is here will the games be patched to work in Vista? SimDooD Posted December 1, 2005 Share Posted December 1, 2005 I wonder if the lack of a demo is due to the whole Starforce issue. From what I have been reading, one of the primary ways in which a cracker breaks protection is by identifying differences in the main executables between a demo and a full version to determine how to switch protection off. Maybe there is some agreement between Ubi and the Starforce guys to this effect. I believe Silent Hunter III uses Starforce, and it never had a demo (or am i wrong here?). Just some thoughts. I can't see that being the issue, I just hope that Starforce doesn't cause people the problems it has with other games. Btw, where does it say that GR:AW will include Starforce protection? Most game developers have a demo out before hand to get people excited about whatever game they are making. with that said, Bo and grin for that matter, have no power to decide on a demo or not. It all is in the hands of UBISOFT. After all, UBISOFT are the owners of the franchise and Grin are the contracted developers for GRAW.
