Sup
Ubisoft announced at the X05 today that it is currently developing the next iteration in its successful espionage series, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Dubbed with a working title of simply Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 4, players will once again take control of Sam Fisher as he enters into new territories in a story that will expand the background and depth of the superspy. the.ronin
Sick!! Aside from making it more open ended, I hope they don't stray too far from the original concept.
CR6
There's a text preview at IGN describing the X05 trailer, and the video is available for IGN Insiders http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/655/655783p1.html The video comprised a mixture of what looked like pre-rendered footage with real, in-game footage. The footage is also extremely short. In it, Fisher walks along the girder of a building rooftop and he comes upon a strangely garbed guard. This burly opponent is dressed in black sleek clothes and he wears a glowing white mask that covers his entire face. Fisher believes he is sneaking up to the guard unnoticed, but the opponent quickly grabs Sam and apparently has a phenomenal grip, twisting him to the ground and causing him great pain. It looks like Sam's arm might be broken, and he tries to break loose; it's unclear if does or not. Then, unnoticed by the guard, another Sam Fisher slips on the trademark green goggles on, and is seen zipping around the guard like a cartoon character, green trails remaining in the darkness. It's one of the stranger videos we've seen, but it looked fantastic. The second character is meant to emphasize the importance of a second, co-op character, and that SC4 might even emphasize its significance even more heavily. Hmm ... expanding on co-op? Also, I'm betting SC4 is done by Ubi Shanghai again, and work on SC5 is already underway at Ubi Montreal. Seems like their modus operandi

Hatchetforce
My guess is that it is not Fisher in the video. The appearance is too far off and spy is thrown and arm broken in a humiliation move from the current MP in SCCT.
jsonedecker
I just hope they don't go all "Prince of Persia" or "Max Payne" with it and add in time altering effects. -John

the.ronin
http://media.xbox.gamespy.com/media/736/736174/vids_1.html -Movie. ← Nice find, Sup! Well that description CR6 posted was pretty much spot on ... what is the deal with the arm twisting? You'd think a seasoned vet secret spy would have some counter-counter-kung fu under his belt. I won't even get into the high decibal sweat drop ... dunno bout this one.

Hatchetforce
There's a text preview at IGN describing the X05 trailer, and the video is available for IGN Insiders http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/655/655783p1.html The video comprised a mixture of what looked like pre-rendered footage with real, in-game footage. The guy wearing the goggles zipping around is bald. It isn't Sam. Sam isn't even in that video. Sup
That report was written before gamespy had that video online. I assume it wasn't quite so easy to see in the presentation as it is in this video.
CR6
Not the first time that site got it wrong. The guy wearing the goggles zipping around is bald. It isn't Sam. Sam isn't even in that video. And BTW: http://www.bewaresamfisher.com/ ← I just saw the trailer at Team Xbox and I totally agree with HF that Sam Fisher isn't in the video at all. Those guys look much too young to be Sam (and don't have his trademark 5 o'clock shadow). The goggles they are wearing are also not the same as Sam's, as their top lens is smaller than the bottom 2, while Sam's are all the same size. So it's pretty safe to conclude the "good guys" in the trailer are the Shadownet operatives that show up in MP and at the end of Pandora Tomorrow SP. I don't think many people realized that the MP part of PT was cleverly linked to the storyline of PT's single player campaign. Looks like I'll have to finish Chaos Theory SP someday ... NYR_32
UBI has a forum for SC4 up, and they are really going with a mysterious theme. Basically its all based around the idea that "You have no idea whats coming". Going to be cool to see how this one develops.
pz3
Id like to see some serious crazy ai in the game, where if your reflection is seen on lets say a shiny object like tiled floors or chrome sincs or somthing. that will be cool. NYR_32
http://www.bewaresamfisher.com/us/ They updated the website, and man does it present some intresting information..... EDIT: Ubi has another Viral campaign going! They have some phone numbers on media found on the website, if you call the one on the main page you hear a convo and then reciveve a text message on your cell phone. Then hidden somewhere else is another phone number and it seems there are live poeple answering LOL http://img.gamespot.com/gamespot/images/20...m_screen001.jpg
