Doc. Caliban 6
Hey all, I've made a personal mod over time which consists of guns that I like from various mods. In some missions I use them as suppressed weapons (Ops. Inc MBS cans) and it would be great to have SD versions of the models. All three models are from different mods and I'm sure you guys will figure out which ones just by the .qob file names: lmg_hk21e.qob el_m82.qob hx_g11.qob An HK21 and a Barret M82 with Ops Inc cans on them are legit applications. You can see a video of the M82 being fired with an MBS (Muzzle Break Suppressor) on their web site, and here's an amazing report regarding an MBS test with an HK21: In a government test at an undisclosed location, a Seberger 3rd Model MBS (Muzzle Brake Suppressor) was attached to a belt-fed .308 caliber M-21 HK machine gun. There are 100 rounds in a 7.62mm belt for an HK-21. Belts were linked together in 200-round sets. The military inspectors figured that the 12" long, 28 oz. can might be good for a few belts -- maybe. Two hundred rounds of .308 through a machine gun is a hell of a test for a suppressor. They set up a special microphone attached to an audiometer to measure the sound. Temperature sensors were placed at various points on the weapon and the suppressor. Targets were set out to record accuracy before and after the test. The HK-21 is an extremely accurate weapon when fired in semi-auto mode. Seven belts of 200 rounds each were fired as continuous bursts. The weapon was then allowed a cooling time of two minutes before the next belt of 200 rounds was fired. The Seberger device registered 890 F and the shooter had to wear an asbestos glove to protect himself from the trigger, which reached close to 200 F. The government inspectors weren't just impressed, they were amazed. They checked the audiometer -- absolutely no degradation of the sound suppression or accuracy. The G11 with a can is just something I want. (I'm sure Phil Seberger could put an MBS on one!) So what I want is each of these three models with supressors on them. Can you guys help me move this project along to the right people? (And help me talk them into doing it!) Thanks, -Doc Edited October 1, 2005 by Caliban
pz3 338
they are ligit, but in order for a suppressor, some one will have to find the original other of the weapon models and see if he can do it.

I think we'll probably be able to do that. I think the HK21 is from the Navy Seals mod. I think the G11 is from a mod with H and X in the title. (I'm quite the detective, no?) And I think the M82 might be from the Navy Seals mod as well, but I'm not too sure. -Doc
Doc. Caliban 6
Here's a thread I found with the M82SD pictured, but it looks like a model was never made: M82SD Thread -Doc

Badbru 0
I'm pretty sure there is a .50cal M82 with suppressor in the campaign mod Operation Darkstar? The mod I'm thinking of has you ride into the orig miss map with downed F 18 in the front seat of a Hummer then go off and testfire all the weapons in the mod during the mission. Am I right? is it Darkstar? Is there a suppressed .50cal M82? So many cool mods downloaded I start to forget which was which after awhile
