JTF-2 0
Ok, so i'm at university now. I'm living without most of the stuff i'm used to: my computer games, 3DSmax, all the mods i've made, my PC. all that stuff. And that's ok, 'cause there is a TON of stuff to keep me busy here. but sometimes i just wanna let loose and shoot some stuff ye know? You can only drink, party, watch movies, do other stuff..., for so many nights of the week. So long story short what game should i get for my mac. I'm on a iBook G4 which can play most games that are out now, but not any of the next gen ones. I've never played any of these. So my choices are: Medal of Honour: Breaktrought and maybe the expansion packs. Call of Duty. BattleField 1942. Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. Any others anybody can think of? Bear in mind i was/am a huge GR1 fan. I love the tactics and the ability to choose a path to complete a mission. Anyway, thanks for the advice/oppinions guys.
Sup 0
Out of those games, Call of Duty is by far the best. However, none of them are exactly Ghost Recon style, in realism or mission format...
JTF-2 0
That's ok, i know none of them are GR like. There aren't really many games out there now that are GR like. All i'm looking for is good game that's not to heavily scripted. I'll check out CoD, thanks Sup.

'Just very well scripted, backed up by pretty good AI in combat.
JTF-2 0
Well, thanks for the tips sup. You were right. CoD's the best. I had a quick run through of the demos for each, and CoD was very impressive. It was the most immersive and intense. The scripting was great and didn't detract from the game, it added. anyway, thanks sup. CoD it is
Sup 0
It was the most immersive and intense. ← It keeps that up through almost all of the game. It is rather short, but the replay value is good enough for a second or third run through.
Snake@War 0
Call of Duty is a great game. It is one of the most immersive games I've ever played, if not the most. The sounds are one of the stand out marks.
JTF-2 0
indeed. the replay value should be good enough. I'm still trying to beat the demo on the hardest level. There isn't any of those "health pack" things so it's more real/harder.
Dannik 43
This might be stupid (or stupidly obvious) but what about GR for your Mac?
JTF-2 0
that was actually my first thought too Dannik. I could get back into modding et all. But i'm gonna get my PC back eventually and i don't really wanna spend money on a game i've already got. Cash is really in short supply these days. PS: I just went SKYDIVING for the first time!! holly hell
Anti-Microsoft 0
Get Raven Shield its way better then it's PC counter part. First to Fight - Close Combat is also ok. If you have the need to violently bash some ones head in with a shovel then I highly recommend Postal
Sup 0
I highly recommend Postal 2 ← And all about your taste is explained.
Arms 0
If your gonna get CoD i also recommend you get the expansion pack to it, United Offensive. I can tell you for that sure the SP experience is much more intense action and will find yourself pulling your hair out the most difficulty level. I've played all the games you mentioned and would've got the MOHAA and its 2 expansion packs as a second choice just to add longevity.
dickie 0
Check aspyr.com, they do loads of ports for games. But, like me you'll find it hard getting good games for a Mac, but the main reason I bought my iMac wasn't for gaming, so I shouldn't complain. That said, if you find any good ones give me a shout
JTF-2 0
will do dickie. This is work computer too, but i can't work all the time... ok, now all i gotta do is find a game store in Halifax... otherwise it's creditcard time. Thanks everyone for all you suggestions/help
