Cool, glad to hear it.

Just taking a little break from modding to see how PR is going...

Right now I'm upgrading the C68 aimpoint model, and making the missing parts for the two M249 versions (buttstock/cloth ammo bag). I've left the rail forend on the M249 instead of putting the standard handguard on. I might change that later, but I'm getting a bit impatient about releasing "Part One".

That's going to close up my list pretty quick, the only major job left is the M24 camo, and I think I've decided how I will approach the camo modeling. I want it to look tighter and more detailed than the RSE original draped camo.

Could somebody do me a favor and spare me the few minutes of compiling a list of ALL original weapons, incl. enemy weapons, for GR/DS/IT? I never really noticed all the enemy weapons added into IT. I hadn't heard of some of them before.

Thanks SC. Those guns for cubans in IT are some ugly... and your reward for saving me that bit of time?

M249 and M249 Para:

Yesterday I might have said the M240B was my favourite --- today it's the M249 Para. :o=

Earl are you getting my emails and PM ???

Yes those are the best models ever in GR.

I think RSE should put as much work as us moders in both Weapon Modeling(Standard Upgrade),gameplay(General/Enemy Realism) and missions(too many to name).

Just a few examples.

RSE sais that the are monitoring the forums and mods in the GR comunity i don`t think so.

I'm not familiar with the L96A1. I don't know what the standard scope is, but once I start collecting images and info, I'll put whatever is most appropriate for the armed forces that have it in service. That's my general plan for every weapon I upgrade.

I was going to reply to Alfa's post about RSE putting this much detail in their weapons, but RSE is a business. For a complete weapon, that is:

- research + image collection

- modeling

- unwrapping

- texturing

- exporting

- tweaking

I spend a lot of time making a weapon - at least a full working day if it was continuous. I don't think any company would let me spend a whole day making one gun. There's so many things to get done in a game, I don't blame them for relatively simple weapons. The fixes for the M16s in Island Thunder were great. I'm surprised they bothered.

So basically, I'm free to go into great detail since I'm just a freelancin' hobby modeler. They wouldn't be so great if I was working for a company... and well, then you'd have to pay for them

<edit> SC, don't worry about the research. It's appreciated, but I've got other things on my plate right now. I've got all the links to all the resources I need, and I'll get there when I get there.
