jay316
Just wanted to thank the dtd guys for releasing their update to their NED mod, You guys did a great job of fixing the small little things that were wrong with the 1.3 version and the skins and weapons and missions are great as always. Great job and thanks again.
silent_op
I'm downloading as I type. I have been waiting for an NED 1.5 for quite some time. No Easy Day is of the best quality mods out. Im looking forward to playing this 1.5 version with my Phoenix Soldiers. Thank you DTD, once again. silent_op

KillingJoke
Those DTD guys really put out a great mod with NED! I loved the pics and splash screens. The music was super! Enemy skins made very well too. Way to go DTD!

silent_op
No Easy Day v1.5 Mission Problems I have downloaded NED 1.5 and it appears in my activated mod list as: -Desert Siege -Island Thunder -No Easy Day 1.5 I did not have the previous NED 1.4 installed prior to installing NED 1.5. Trouble Shooting: I have been trying to play NED 1.5 in Multiplayer CO-OP mode. The following missions seem to have problems with completing objectives: -ned01_dtd-karzai -ned02_warlords ned01_dtd-karzai: This mission when played in multiplayer co-op mode does not allow players to resuce Karzai by the usual bumping into the character action. Since the first objective is not possible to complete, extraction is never possible. ned02_warlords: This mission when played in multiplayer co-op mode does not seem to ever move onto the second objective. 25 minutes go by and no warlord meeting occurs. I stayed out view, no shots fired and I planted the Bug in the shed where the meeting should take place. I did not see any trucks heading to the warlord meeting area. The ony vehicle that went to the meeting area was a pickup. Kit Problems: This mission when played in multiplayer co-op mode Demo Kit 10 becomes Demo Kit 1 in mission. -Demo Kit 10 in the multilpayer briefing window appears as COLT M635 SD with 5 Demo Charges' -Demo Kit 1 in the multilpayer briefing window and in mission appears as COLT M635 Tanker with Extra Ammo. Can these issues be fixed ? Has anyone esle had these problems? Please help, this is a great mod. It would be a shame not to be able to play this in co-op mode. silent_op
CrowmanUK
I've had a few problems with the weapons too mate, you select one then when you get in the mission its defaulted to the 1st weapon in the list.
Whisper_44
I have passed this thread onto Cocobolo, but wanted to pass an opinion on the missions and co-op MP if there is a helo in the mission I don't think it's going to work in MP. I didn't think that Helo's were supported in MP??
CrowmanUK
I tried running one of the missions where there is a helicopter insert and it worked ok in multiplayer, I was on my own though and hosting the game, not sure how it would work if someone else was in there too. silent_op
"I have passed this thread onto Cocobolo..." Thanks Whisper_44. CO-OP Multiplayer Mode: Helicopters As for the helicopters, I played the ned04_refinery mission in co-op mode with another player ( I hosted). We inserted by blackhawk and extracted by meeting up with the blackhawks that landed to pick us up. There were no problems. I also played ned05_dtd-inshallah mission in co-op mode with another player. The mission starts with a helicopter cine-animation. The entire helicopter insert was also problem free. silent_op
Whisper_44
@ silent_op - Thank you. I'll ask for some patience in dealing with the issues, we won't let them go, but it may be a bit before they're addressed.
Cocobolo DTD
Missions are NOT MP compatible, as stated in the readme and elsewhere. I will look at the kit issue, but missions are SP only! You may get lucky and have them work in MP, but the missions aren't intended for MP, so if you have a problem, you know why. NED is compatible with most misson mods and characters and weapons can be used in other MP compatible mods. And thanks everybody, for the support! ceptico
There are some issues in the kit selection when you make the auto assign. For some reason you get the default weapons (M16) assigned to all the members. The MP part I haven't tested very well yet but it seems that the same problem exists. As always in the DTD mods the skins and the weapons are the best. This is another great Mod by the DTD Team. Excellent work guys.
ceptico
From my little knowledge of GR modding I think it has something to do with the kit path in the actors. Its pointing at rifleman ,demo, etc and the folders aren't named that way in the mod.You used another name convention and they should point at the folders you created. Just an ideia. Badbru
I have really enjoyed No Easy Day, what I could play of it that is. The dam mission for me was almost pitch black and impossible to see, nvg's on or off. I realise this is a problem specific to video cards and I just have to live with it Other minor faults I've noticed; in the character selection/kit up screen the face of one of the chars swaps when he turns his head to that of another char? What's up with that? Allmost all the characters seem to have level 5 or better stats in everything! That just feels like cheating to me. I like assigning the mission experience point and building a character along the way. British specialists- Sniper;(Moorehouse?) The AI L86 is Bolt action isn't it? I could have sworn it was yet in game bang bang bang semi auto play British specialist - Support; No sound came from the LSW weapon in either semi auto or full auto? seems there is something wrong with the weapon scripting not finding the appropriate sound file? Sweet looking weapon though, ditto with the SA-80/IW/Brit service rifle. Finally one whos butt doesn't protrude through the chars right arm. I hate that. I actually aren't that fond of alot of your weapon models but the Brit rifles, the colt 9mm smg, the FNC para, the M60, and that oh so sweet folding stock AK-47 are truely beautiful. Where are the sniper rifle + nades kits? Do any chars have Claymores, I'm yet to see any if so. Do any chars carry sensors? also yet to see any. Biggest problem though, I played through the original 15 mission campaign with NED running and it was a blast, but when done I went to options/Mods and deactivated it then reactivated Band of Brothers which I had had running before. The game then shut down upon hitting accept and would not start again, at all. Something there caused a total game crash. I had to reinstall. EVERTHING. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and was just something specific to my comp but I don't know. I'd recomend swapping mods as a two stage process from now on. Deactivate and return to base game then go activate something new.

Vir2L
I've had the same problem when having the Band Of Brothers MOD installed. The game just won't start up when it's activated. An easy fix, instead of re-installing the entire game, is to remove the Band of Brothers MOD from your MOD directory.
Badbru
Thanks guys but I think I tried removing Band of Brothers and NED from the mods file first and that didn't rectify it if I recall correctly. In an odd way it's kind of good to know it's more likely a BOB problem than a NED problem. Atleast from the NED developers point of view. I'm also more likely to run NED than BOB too. I just finnished running through Island Thunder with NED running and am intrigued by NEDs seemingly random generation of specialists. I suppose it adds to replayability but of the five or six I got I didn't use any of them.
Whisper_44
Thanks for the comments, I think it's more of a GR issue than either NED or BOB.. as GiWeDa pointed out you can delete modsset.txt and it'll solve most of those types of problems, it's self generating so if missing it will replace itself when you activate another Mod.
Badbru
It has happened to me again. I felt like playing some GR goodness today and upon startup I discovered NED was active on my mods list. I didn't feel like using NED today so I deactivated it and guess what... upon hitting accept I got a CTD and GR will not start up. I've followed GiWeDa's advice and deleted the Modset.txt file in the Ghost Recon main file (not a computer expert but pretty sure there's only one and I got it) and that has had no effect. Restarted the comp incase it needed a restart to have effect- no change. Remove NED from the Mods file to desktop to clear it from the game-no effect. Any more advice?, cause if NED is going to cause a total game crash every time I decide I don't want it active then it's going- permanently- which would be a shame. Something like this that screws me once, I forgive, and try to fix it. Screw me twice and I start to get angry. So if there are any DTD team guys around I'd really like some support cause I'm not that computer literate really and I don't want to have to reinstall EVERYTHING again. Cobra6
Since all DTD mods do not overwrite any original files (except the "modsset.txt" file) and you deleted the mod, there is no way it can be NED. I would double check that you deleted the correct file. In normal installations it is located C:\Program Files\Red Storm Entertainment\Ghost Recon You can copy that link and paste it into the address bar at the top of your browser to see the folder.
