Rocky 1,224
http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=488 Microsoft plan on putting PC Games back on the map with their new OS.
Snake@War 0
Ya know what would be awesome? A high-performance OS without "ALL" the unneccesary apps, at least running all the time, would be nice. Or a mode that disables all apps running except neccesary, or specified programs. element11 0
Yeah snake thats a good idea. I really think that with XP, theres alot running in the background, and sometimnes with the firewall it makes it difficult to play on multiplayer. The PC gaming OS would be nice if it would also take up less cpu power than the others.
Cobblers 12
Now that is promising. I've got an XBOX 360 on pre-order, as I've pretty much had it with the PC and the way things are going. For MS to come out with that type of statement, it leaves me to believe that maybe I should reconsider getting an XBOX if the PC is still considered a worthy gaming unit. (Although I'm not going to let my wife know about this, she may change her mind about me buying one ) Now I'm not too hot one what and how a pc runs. All I use this home machine if for gaming, Trillian, internet/email and the odd letter. Do I need a machine with loads of crap installed on it, or could I have something that is set up for gaming as it's main role? Kind of like a Rac Rally car, superb machines for what they need to do, but I doubt you'll get the heated seats or the full electrics, as they just don't need them. ^Does that make sense?! Cobblers 12
Yeah very much so!!! Hope I didn't subconsciously copy you. But it would make sense, at least having a pc that even has different boot ups, so one for general pc use, the other for gaming. Otherwise, I do feel that I'll eventually be forced down the xbox route only, which would be a sad day.
KRP 56 92
Looks like some MS people finally came to their senses. PC gaming is where it's at.

Just wish Microsoft would see this and do something about it. We need to start a Windows gaming campaign...

Cobblers 12
Seeing as most people wouldn't dream of playing on a PC nowadays compared to the consoles, we could call it "the Marmite campaign", with the slogan, "You either love it or you hate it".
RatoN 0
We need to start a Windows gaming campaign... ← Where are WK's campaign ideas when you need one?! ← paging whiteknight ← As you can see I already started my mini campaign. (PC CDROM logo that you can see with my sig). Doesn’t have to do with Windows, but PCs vs. consoles, witch I think are a DISASTER for the quality of games by diluting the product. Until someone else comes up with a better Idea/Logo you can use this. [img=http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/9962/logo_pc.jpg] And I also think that a more experience community member should start this campaign. In any case I’m in bros. Although the idea behind it would be superb. But it won't happen for GR3 though, as both PC and XBOX 360 users will have a slightly different game to one another. But certainly something you can see happening in the future.
