Basically at the moment I have 512Mb of Corsair XMS PC3200C2PT RAM v4.2. I am looking to upgrade to 1Gb. I have pretty much ruled out just getting another 512Mb as matching revisions is a nightmare. Basically I am looking to buy either:

Corsair Twin X XMS3200C2PT 1GB (2x512) or Corsair XMS3200C2PT 1GB (1x1024)

However I was just wondering if any other companies do RAM that is as good or better for the same or less money?

Thanks

EDIT: Also is my AMD 64 3000+ and Epox 8KDA3+ Mobo ok with dual channel?

In the other thread, we mentioned that a 1GB stick of RAM would only run at 333MHz FSB on your mobo. I would avoid that if possible, and just stick to 512MB DIMMs that will run at the full 400MHz FSB

On my 2nd (office) rig, I'm currently running Crucial Ballistix RAM and have been very impressed.

I've also recommended their value RAM to a lot of my friends who are on a budget but want quality RAM.

Crucial often has discounts or free shipping, and their online store and service is second to none. Crucial's PC100 and PC133 RAM used to be the "Corsair" of its day back in the time of the Pentium III, and although they stayed out of the enthusiast memory market (until recently with Ballistix), they have maintained a quality product.

Lol if only money grew on trees!!! :wall:

EDIT:

I have had an offer of CORSAIR CMX512-4000PRO (2x512) for similar to what I would pay for 3200 c2pt which is quite bargainous to my mind. However would it run on my system. I don't want to commit till im sure lol.

Also how good is Mushkin ENHANCED MEMORY?
