Noob ? - Stop using orig SP actors?

Recommended Posts

Okay, to this point I have only played around with gun and mission modding.

I am trying to get the game to ONLY use the, say, rifleman, actors in MY mod.

I see that every other mod has just WWII or Russian, etc chars.

Now do I get it to only use mine. I've been trying for hours and know it must just be a simple file or something that I'm overlooking.

Thanks!

Mike

start by opening up one of the rifleman.atr (notepad is fine) to see what it looks like inside.

then open igor and create your own. notice the names used for the model (.chr) the face (.rsb)

I assume you havent created a model or have a .chr you'd like to use so you must do that first.

I'm familiar with rifleman.atr. What I was hoping to do was have specific riflemen with specific weapons kit folders similar to a hero file. (Instead of having access to all rifleman weapons).

I have created my own riflemen (all with the same name for testing purposes), but I get a mix of my new guys and the original mod guys. I want to ONLY get my guys like they have done in the big mods.

How do I do this?

Thanks!

Mike

You would rename the chr/rsb files as the same as the ones you want to replace. (does that make sense?) Be sure to make your own mod folder or backup the originals. When you start up the game, all riflemen should be your new ones. PM me if you need further help.

Yes just like brandon said. You need to make your own chr's and name them ica_us_rifleman.chr, ica_us_rifleman_a.chr and _b too. But you can name the rsb files whatever you want. For limiting the weapons, you need to make a kit restriction file. In igor go to tools> kit restriction editor and save that in your equip (i think its equip) folder. To be sure, look in the origmiss folder and look for the folder with .kil files in it, and thats where you ned to save your kit restriction file.
