Rocky 1,224
I've added a feature that will make it obvious when scanning a list of downloads which ones are new, it looks like this... Question is, when is new still new? At them moment it is set that any file added within the last 7 days will automatically be flagged as "new". Does 7 days sound about right? Recon 0
I'd say 14 days. That's what Apple call "recent" in iTunes.
the.ronin 5
it should take the average of the age of last 10 uploads, or the median to the extent the outlyers are beyond a standard deviation of sigma 6, then apply a logorithmic distribution based on the trubador normal distribution curve so long as it is within the z statistic of t when raised to the power of e within the cosin and tangent of alpha. at least thats how most people do it. Giampi 39
Actually you should consider that nowdays very few mods are released so I would set it at 1 month
KRP 56 92
I'm with GiWeDa. 1 month sounds about right. I still see things advertised as new even though they came out in 2004.

deadly_sniper22 0
i'd go with a month or 2 weeks atleast considering the quanity of mods coming out these days... DS22
X69RZX 0
I'd go for the month. There are several of us working on stuff now, and I for one plan to finish mine. I think it would be good though for it to be up a month for two reasons. One, it will help to showcase the hard work the modder has done. I mean, a guy just spent a year or so building a mod for it to be "new" for a week? Two, it will be there because these days some people don't get to visit as often, thus it will still be new to them, even if they don't get to visit the board for a week or more.
