Rocky
This game is a freaking pain to join, sometimes I've seen members just quit in frustration before they've even played a single game! http://www.forumplanet.com/planetbattlefie...419&tid=1705775

This game that has so many good things going for it is hobbling itself and driving me away from it. It definitely needs the friends list combined with the ease of CoD servers. And why can't I keep my ping filter set either? 6 words, 6 words. Battlefield Modern Combat on Xbox LIVE.
CR6
This game is a freaking pain to join, sometimes I've seen members just quit in frustration before they've even played a single game! http://www.forumplanet.com/planetbattlefie...419&tid=1705775 ← LOL, great post! For playing solo, I've found that it's actually not too hard to join a game ... Wolf has an example of a cool webpage where you can see who is playing on which server, and just click a link in-browser to join a game (but you need to have to install a 3rd party program GameLauncher first) http://wolfgaming.net/vb/cmps_index.php?page=servers
Rocky
Thanks for the link. Playing lone wolf it is fairly easy to get into a game, although you do still have those annoying loading times. Once you enter the nightmare that is trying to join a server with fellow squaddies, ARGH!
BarmyArmy
Some of us over at Red-Sector are now using XFire which is a lovely little program Imagine ICQ ( no **keep** reading please ) with DirectX integration, so that it doesn't bomb you to desktop every time you get a message, and which can work out which of your buddies are currently playing which game **and** on which server. If I see Rocky is online playing BF2, I can see which server 'right-click' select "join game" and I'm there, no more pens pieces of paper and IP addresses. I'll also tell you which servers you visited recently and let you keep a favorites list. It's brilliant myself,Super64,Crowie and some of the others love it. It also produces a small sig web panel as well: Try it and see: |rsi| BarmyArmy Edited August 4, 2005 by BarmyArmy
Rocky
Yeh it is cool, I have not decided to stay with XFire, or use ASE instead though...
Zebb
I use both Rocky, X-Fire when people i know are around, and ASE when i just want to browse servers of squads i know in case i can get a game..
CrowmanUK
ASE filters all the mods that might be running for a particular game too which is nice and handy.

Cpl Ledanek
Can we all Xfire users post? This way we can get all together and play. Can't post my rank for some reason, so just look for "ledanek." Hope to play with y'all
