WytchDokta 6
Look at the posted comments. I think this sums it up best: "This whole scenario is rather worrying. What really really gets me annoyed is that in the GTA games you can maim, burn, shoot, buy guns and burry people in portaloos but the thing that gets people seriously agitated (more then the above things) is some sexual interaction. I felt this way about the Janet Jackson thing - one shot of her boob and the Country is up in arms yet if there had been an advert (and I have no idea if guns are advertised on TV over there – I would hope not) for a 9mm pistol for "Hunting and Home Defense" no one would have batted an eyelid. I like the GTA games, I think they are some of the best satire written about the US with the parody of some aspects of their culture being refreshing from the usual “US is great!†type of thing but people rarely see that side of things and concentrate on the violence. I can only assume that politicians assume that video games = children which just goes to show how relevant there views on this subject are. All very worrying for the future" And this: "If you send the chainsaw massacre on telly they won't mind. But if you show a nude woman... All hell break loose..." Edited July 15, 2005 by .:Nightmare:. Cpl Ledanek 247
Is there a community of lawyers that just sits around waiting for another "product" to sue? There must be! I haven't seen this game since I'm stick stuck at the first GTA3. For someone to discover or "inform" the public that such "sexual contents" is available on a game that involves sex/drugs/rock n roll never ceases to amaze me. And once again, blaming the "supermarket" for the slippery floor, because someone is too dumb enough to walk on the slippery tile. Or for someone to have "pain and suffering" caused by hot coffee, the same coffee that has been handed down from generations to generation, only to be scalded by it. This religious rights needs to focus better on what is more important. Education. The ones that are taught in school. Million of ppl playing this game probably didnt know about this easteregg until the righteous didn't post it on the internet. Unless of course, Rockstar dropped this bomb themself to further increase sales. Adam and Eve still wouldn't bite the apple unless someone told them they can't have it. Is this what you call a rant?
