WhiteKnight77 1
AHOSKIE - A month-long investigation into animal cruelty has resulted in a pair of arrests, individuals possibly linked with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). On Wednesday, Andrew Benjamin Cook, 24, of 504 Tree Top Street, Virginia Beach, Va. and Adria Joy Hinkle, 27, of 1602 Claremont Ave., Norfolk, Va. were each charged with 31 felony counts of animal cruelty and eight misdemeanor counts each of illegal disposal of dead animals. This quote taken from the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald PETA possibly involved with dead dogs article shows that PETA has some serious issues it needs to face. One has to wonder, what happens to all the animals that they let loose from slaughter houses? Do they have a big ranch somewhere to put them or do they just let them run free and become a menace to the public? If PETA people want to be idiots that's one thing, but to break laws to do so, one has to wonder about their brain function.
RooK 0
What was the purpose of taking and killing the animals? They would have gotten the same treatment if left at the facility unadopted, but at least would have had a chance of adoption. Makes no sense.
WhiteKnight77 1
Goes to show that PETA people aren't wrapped to tight. If I wanted to wear a fur coat and they threw paint on me or my coat, they better be ready to pay for said coat. or be jailed on assault charges. The People Eating Tasty Animals group seem to have their heads on better.

RooK 0
This is right up there with the woman from the Million Mom March (anti-gun folks) that got arrested on gun charges. Can't remember the specifics of it though.

warhawk 0
I got two that I can add that will just pop a vien.... I can answer this one for you WhiteKnight. One has to wonder, what happens to all the animals that they let loose from slaughter houses? In Northwestern Ontario a few years back a few PETA members snuck onto a Mink farm. Once there they turned loose an estimated 1500 minks if memory serves me correctly. Of those 1500 only 2 were recovered and one of those had to be put down because of injuries sustained by being hit by a car. Of the remaining 1498 minks they all died. Causes of death ranged from being eaten by predators, succumbing to the elements, (they didn't know how to properly deal with not being in a heated building during the winter) starving to death or like the one described above hit by cars. But hey they didn't die in captivity right? In another event in Kansas City Mo I had the pleasure of arresting two PETA idiots. These two ######'s snuck (they seem to do this well) into the Worlds Of Fun Amusement park and poured 30 gallons of bleech into the dolphin tank because they said they knew that the dolphins would rather be dead than live in captivity. They partially got their wish as one dolphin died. The other spent a year recovering from the effects. Keep in mind that these two dolphins had been together from a very young age. Every winter they were loaded up into their personal plane, yes they had their own plane, and were flown down for a winter vacation in sunny Florida at Sea World. These two morons were charged and convicted of a class 2 misdemeanor for cruelty to animals. Which was the strongest penalty, plus fines of course, that they could be given and served 11 months in the county jail. I do know they had to leave town as I found out later when they were released it was leaked when and where they were released from and from my understanding they had a "welcome party" waiting for them. WhiteKnight77 1
We should put iditos from PETA out in the middle of a field somewhere in Minnesota bare-assed during the middle of winter to sit for a couple of hours when they are convicted of a crime of animal cruelty. cdnsniper 0
I second that motion. If they really wanted to help animals, why the hell would they go around slaughtering them. Because it's what the animals wanted? What gives them the right to speak for the animals?
