re-settable animations/dyn objects

Recommended Posts

So I've been working on my mapping skills, which is to say I've been working on a new map, hehe. Anyway, I want to create a dynamic object that I can reset, like the dummies on the training map. I have the dynamic object, and I can get the animation with controllers set to linear and all. It works fine, one way. I used the reset map object response in IGOR and nothing happens. I've tried so many combinations of the out of range settings for the animation controllers, but can't seem to get the right combo to make it resetable. I feel sure that is where the setting needs to be made, but if anyone knows, please help. Just for more info, I have the dyn objs tagged to start animating, and to disable at animation end in the map editor. Please help, I know some of you smarties know.

Open up the training mission and see how they have the pop up targets named. You might have to hex edit the map to find something else out but I'm pretty sure the IGOR scripting guide says that ResetMapObject only works with pop up targets in the training map. It isn't a global IGOR command for map objects is what I'm getting at and the pop up shootable targets are named differently from what I recall seeing in IGOR.

btw...

Do you have something for me? :rocky:

Thanks Oso, I'll check that out. I didn't think to check the names on the training map. If anyone else has any insight, I'm all ears. I'll send you a "package" tonight.
