Tr4nC3R
Do you know why not ? Strange !
Super-Bob
Its not a good thing to allow people to change their name. All of the sudden I could be MrMoney, or even Tr4nC3Rs.
Rocky
Admins can change names - but we don't generally do it. It takes up time, and if we did, we'd get requests all the time. And it confuses members.
Tr4nC3R
Yes thats ok, but its not good for people who join clans or really NEED to change their names. Maybe site admin could create a system that only lets you change your name, Say Once year !. Then if for some strange reason you have to change it again you have to mail admin asking why you need to change Again, and authorise if need be. I think this is suitable grounds for change, What do you think. Trancer,
ArchAngeL143
maybe just contact an admin and tell them your changing your name and delete the old account, tell all your buddies to look for your new name

Max
Thats odd, most forums you cant change your account name but you can change the name that shows up on when you post. Odd :S
Zantar45
I am in a clan and Ive never changed my name, as long as you keep your GR.net name in with the clan name, there should be no problems. Unless your clan makes it a problem.

Tr4nC3R
and what a post count? Its the number of post you have ever posted.
Zantar45
You get one ''point'' per post, the more posts you get, the higher your rank goes. Alot of forums have this feature.
San
Some people get a kick to have the most posts. I can remember after the attack, all post-counts where gone (hehe). I was on the first page (yeaha). I really don't give a (oops almost said it !) It's not about how many posts (I see people with real crap coming up), but about the content, and if it's any help for someone. IMO You see topics coming up everyday, with same questions which are already answered in previous topics. Just read first, then ask. And keep
Rocky
Thats odd, most forums you cant change your account name but you can change the name that shows up on when you post. Odd :S Which forums allow you to do that? AFAIK Yabb, Ikonboard, Invision board do not. Unless you mean pay boards.
~NkOgNiTo~
if you are changing your name because of a clan y not just incorporate the clan into your sig or put in your text the clan tag or something like... ~NkOgNiTo~ a.k.a. +voodoo+ DaDdY(if this is a real person it merely a coincadence )

Zantar45
LOL Thanks for the clairifying that. BTW, on a forum I used to be on, one guy had +5,000 posts and he was only on the site for a little more then a year and a half. Some posts seem like spam, but most of the time the posts are replys so that the person doesnt get '' ragged ''on. But you can tell the obvious spamming posts from the general ones. LOL later
WickedWeasel
My spam count ...UHM i meant post count is very small LMAO...I came really close to making a joke out of this quote...but after realizing this was a "kid friendly" forum, I refrained.
