Honestly, i've navigated to the folders where the .atr files are ("origmiss" & etc), but i can't figured out how it works. can anyone tell? thank's & and sorry for my newie question, and my porr english... ← have you checked out the skinning resource center at the top of this subforum? this would be the best place to get some info on skinning. plus it would also help big time if you grabbed a copy of mike schell's GR skinner.....this tool is a real Jim Dandy when it comes to skinning stuff in GR.....that and helpful advice from REAL skinners....which i'm not..... good luck, mate! and don't worry about yer English.....i understood you just fine! element11 0
Yeah dont worry about the english, man its fine. Anyways, easiest way to make your normal men new skins, it to rename your skinned .chr the default ghost recon name. ica_us_rifleman.chr, or ica_us_support.chr, and put that in your character folder. Then make a bunch of atr files, and name them rifleman-01, rifleman-02, etc, and save them under /actor/rifleman (or demo or support but you get the idea). Then just make sure that your mod is first priority and it should work. Edit: oh yeah, i forgot, dont forget to make the ica_us_rifleman.chr, a ica_us_rifleman_a and ica_us_rifleman_b, for the game. CommandoCrazy 0
You should look for BJBs ATR Generator (here in the Download section, i guess). Making .atr files with it is dead easy. And don't forget to post some screenshots of your work
frodux 0
HI, Again. well, i've finished the most skin making with the Photoshop, also i've add some of this characters to the game. BUT they working only in GR, not in IT or DS or any other MOD, or not working at all. The thing is, what i'll like to know is how is the program, and mods, works in this matter, what is the logic?. it seems quite easy but it's cleary not AGAIN SORRY FOR THE NEWIE QUESTION!!! and english. see ya Edited June 15, 2005 by frodux
element11 0
Again, your english is fine, and its no problem about the questions. Everyones got to start somewhere. Anyways, for the skins to work in IT and DS, you need to copy and paste your ica_us_rifleman (and the _a and _b ones), and you need to rename them to a certain name. Look at this post by ruin, in the mini tutorials thread that is pinned. http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php...findpost&p=3536 That tells you all the characters for all the platoons and what you need to name the chr's. It should answer all future questions. Good luck, and post some screens too!
XE_Joker 0
for desert siege you need to add desert in the chr file name as so: ica_us_rifleman_desert and ica_us_rifleman_a_desert and ica_us_rifleman_b_desert for island thunder you add cuba instead of desert as so: ica_us_rifleman_cuba and ica_us_rifleman_a_cuba and ica_us_rifleman_b_cuba hope this helps. multiplayer is even easier. that is if you want to add skins for all 4 squads (red/blue/green/yellow).
