It's official i'm a fool!

I did the opposite, I used to play on high with only 56k, 128mb RAM and windows XP!

And GR is specificly supposed to be play with 256mb RAM on windows XP.

Doom on me lol

Since I found the error of my ways while playing with high graphics,56k,and 128 RAM, I have begun to love playing with dead bodies off and low settings, because I noticed they stand out more. lol

I've never done anything like that before.  I always go into the options folder before playing a new game.  I put all the graphics on high, sound blazing, and make sure I have the controls down before ever beginning.

Yep, that's the same as me m8.

As soon as I get a game I change the settings around, I also, where possible, try and use the exact same keys for games that are similar, like with Raven Shield and Ghost Recon, the majority of the keys are exactly the same, which helps when playing as a noob!

I always turn off dead bodies in game to help with ping performance, and never have that many bullet holes showing either.

Some time later this year I should be able to get ADSL in my area, which would be very cool, then I won't have to worry so much about lag issues etc!!Can't wait!!

I got all settings on high, shadows off, bodies on, bullets off.

In a MP-game on Ghost Town (can still remember), someone was shooting at me while I was covering behind a house. The bullets hit the wall of the house, and made a bullet-hole-texture, right in front of my view. I had to move to have vision again. So no bullet-holes for me.

Dead bodies I always have on, I don't like shooting at someone and not hitting him because there's a invisible death body in front of him.

Shadows are something people underestimate. You can detect enemies by their shadows. But it takes a lot of performance, so I left it off.

I will never change texture-details to less. Once you played with it on high, you can't go back, and why should you.

I got a GForce 3 with only 64MB, and still all on HIGH !

BTW I got 512 MB RAM, maybe that compares it a little, hehe.
