Command Map question

Recommended Posts

how can you fix someone else's command map/map to show your postion on map and the enemies show up on the map when they are in range? i downloaded the caribbean missle crisis mod and wanted to know if it is possible to fix the command map or map to show these for the small map? i know the large map is too large (800x800) and it cannot be fixed, but what about the smaller one? this map is sweet, but not knowing where you are on the map kinda sux.

It's probably caused by a faulty XY-offset.

Adjust the X and Y coordinates in the .env file set at the labels below:

<CMOffsetX>X-number</CMOffsetX>

<CMOffsetY>Y-number</CMOffsetY>

Negative numbers are allowed.

That map is too big. If I remember correctly, the creator of that map made two of them and purposely went outside of the boundaries to push the engine on both maps.

You are probably not in view on the command map to see yourself or the enemy in question.

He scaled the command map to encompass the entire map which is why. AFAIK there isn't anything you can do to fix the problem.

the carribean map is too big. but the small island map can be fixed. i had the mod for awhile and managed to get small island to work. start with -100 -100 and go from there. you need to find a spot that you know where you are and see where you are on the map and adjust accordingly. hopefully i can dredge up the old "fixed" settings here.

as for the carribean map, work on two command maps for it. one for the north end and one for the south. then you can apply all the spawn points in the north for one version of the map and the south for the other version. planning on adding that to my mappack update later this month!
