We are proud to announce the next upgrade and phase in raising the standard for online competition. http://www.thecombatzone.net We have converted the entire user database away from NUKE into a fully customized site thats truly cutting edge. All 21,000+ user are on the new site! If you already have an account you simply need to go to the main site and put in a password request. This will reset your password and allow you to login and update your profile. We request new information to better enhance your time on the site. Some is required (user name and e-mail) and some is optional. If you dont have an account we look forward to having you sign up and getting in the mix! "My Profile" information does ask for name, address, phone number, etc... THIS IS NOT required to participate on the site. It is however used for prizes and tournament swag. If you are not comfortable adding this kind of information thats fine. Put in what you are comfortable putting in. Feel free to view our TOS and Privacy Policy. Any questions feel free to ask. We have two types of ladders. Scheduled and the old school Pick Up (Original TCZ Since 2001). Scheduled is a cut and dry no non-sense answer to competition. All challenges are mandatory. When you challenge the opposing team MUST accept the match in 48 hours or an automatic win will be placed on your behalf. No admin input. Every hour the site checks for overdue challenges and processes them. Pick Up Ladder - No penalty for NOT completing a challenge. This is at will matching. Match as often or as little as you want. Scheduled Ladder - 48 Hours to accept match via the web site. Failure will issue a win to the challenger. No exceptions. Failure to complete a match in 7 days will issue a win to the challenger unless a dispute is issued. This is all automatic. No admin involvement unless a dispute is issued. Ifyou compete on this ladder. You are bound to start a match between the hours of 7PM - 11PM EST (With respect to the comparable Euro Ladders) on the date you accepted the match on. No canceling of the match. This ladder type also issues the maps to be played so you only need to pick the date and time... you will already know what to practice for and what sides you will have! Really puts the focus back to team work and the teams that practice will reap the benefits. Tournaments and Leagues coming soon! Top 10 - You can not on either ladder type go inactive in the Top 10 and you are required to match every week while in the Top 10. We have a system in place to enforce this. Challenge System - When you challenge a player or team an e-mail is sent and both team / player pages are updated with the challenge information. You need to respond via your page. If its a scheduled ladder the challenge will contain two dates to choose from and the option to accept on in response. If its a pick up ladder it will not have any dates only the comments about the match from the challenger. When you accept the match challenge it again updates both pages and sends out an acceptance e-mail to ALL the players on the roster for that game. If its scheduled it will also contain the maps to be used for the match. Ranking System - You advance 100% if the opponent is 10 or less spaces from you. You advance 50% for anything greater. Must be in the Top 10 to compete and take 1st place. Point System - Uh there is none... all gone! New Ladders for the New Site: SWAT 4, America's Army, Battlefield 2, and of course we still carry Ghost Recon and Raven Shield among others!
